I'd be very keen to see him go out on loan and get some confidence up before I give up on him yet. Never really had a run to prove himself. In terms of who I'd like to bring in, I think we need a bit of proven CB cover. I have faith that Greaves and Burke will be OK, but we've never seen Greaves at this level, nor Arthur. Jones could do the job, but I do prefer him in midfield. We don't know a lot about McLoughlin. Feel we need some experience in there. A loan or Championship free would be good.
Is Scott one of our top paid players if he is and not getting in the starting line up regular, maybe we should try to move him on.
He was 19 when he came in, I don't think he would be on mega money. He might get loaned out next season, it depends entirely on pre season/interest from other clubs. There's definitely a player in there, but he won't get in ahead of Wilks/KLP unless there's an injury or a dramatic loss of form. I expect we'll see him against Charlton, along with a few other fringe players like Long and McLoughlin. Be nice to see the likes of Chadwick (if he's back - Conference still going until mid May) and Salam get a run out too.
I would put him out on loan for half a season at a level where he will get game time. He needs a run of games to get up to match fitness and gain some confidence..
I think Scott would convert to a number 9. He’s got good feet and an eye for goal. He just needs to work on physicality, he’s got age on his side.
Is Davies still crocked? Wouldn't mind him and Evans coming in as a couple of older heads having spent the majority of their careers in the Championship. It feels kinda odd talking about Corry Evans as an old head...
I suspect the chances of us signing a 36 year old, who's been out injured all year, are just shy of zero. And rightly so.
We need an experienced centre half and a good forward for the move up. You always need an upgrade in a few places for the move up. As for ex players if Curtis was coming on the pitch with a Zimmer frame I would still play him in front of Irvine and Lichaj. At least the kid had a good heart.
It'll be interesting to see Sunday's lineup. Critical game for Charlton aswell as Oxford and Portsmouth so we can't be seen to fielding too weak a side.
Hull City will face growing competition if they intend to pursue a deal for Accrington Stanley striker Dion Charles. City have paid close attention to the 20-goal frontman this season with the youngster impressing throughout the campaign, though the League One champions are yet to make a firm offer. Such has been his form for Stanley, Charles picked up his first cap for Northern Ireland earlier this year, playing against the USA in a friendly at Windsor Park. Reports now suggest Championship side Nottingham Forest have joined the glut of clubs from the second tier eyeing a move for the 25-year-old.
Bit of a bloody obvious statement to make with revenue due to go up almost 5 fold! Lets hope they invest the £1m from Barnsley over the MacDonald settlement wisely. Terry and the lads have done really well winning the league, good for the first time in a while we are looking at fine tuning to the squad and not another major Summer overhaul. Really looking forward to getting back in The KCOM.
