Good Morning. It's Thursday 6th May, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Turkish outlet leak deal that Alioski asked to keep quiet A Turkish media outlet have reported that Ezgjan Alioski has agreed to join Galatasaray in the Summer, but had asked the Turkish club not to announce it until after the season ends. Fotomac went on to say that the North Macedonia international turned down Leeds contract offer as the terms were not favourable. Obviously Alioski is fearful of an angry backlash from the Leeds fans about the move. If I were him I'd be angry that my future club could not keep their mouths shut util the end of the season. please log in to view this image Leeds line up experienced Turkish International midfielder Fotomac also claim that Leeds are preparing a bid for a midfielder from Fenerbahce! 26-year-old Ozan Tufan is an experienced Turkish International with 59 caps, and nine goals to his name. He can play midfield, right wing, or right wing back. The report states Leeds want to get a deal done before the European Championships this Summer. Tufan has two years left on his contract.a contract with Fenerbahce until the summer of 2023 and the Turkish outfit will not want to let him leave for cheap. please log in to view this image Allardyce may be a good bet for Leeds Carlton Palmer has suggested that Sam Allardyce could be a good replacement for Leeds, if Marcelo Bielsa quits in the summer. The lanky midfielder made over a hundred appearances for the Whites between 2004-07 and won 18 England Caps over his 21 year career. “If he does go, you know, there are plenty of good managers out there. I think West Brom are going to go down now, so Sam Allardyce, if they don’t give him the funds to do the job to get them back up, he’s going to become available. He might be a good bet for them. “So you can’t automatically assume that Leeds are going to get relegated if Bielsa leaves, but you can’t also underestimate the job he’s done with that squad of players and the way that they play.” Palmer was also asked what he thought Bielsa would do, if offered the Spurs hot seat:- “You want to better yourself. You want to get the top jobs, just like players want to go to top clubs, so it’d be a fantastic opportunity for him. “If Spurs come knocking, that’s a different ball game. That’s a great career opportunity for him. I’d be very surprised if Tottenham came knocking and he wasn’t prepared to go.” please log in to view this image Whelan: Sign Wilson - He's better than Roberts. Noel Whelan believes Leeds should make a move for Liverpool forward Harry Wilson. The 24yo is surplus to requirements at Anfield, and the League Champions are keen to free up funds this Summer. He is currently on loan at Cardiff where he has twelve assists to his name, and has netted seven times in 36 appearances. "Wilson could be an option for us. He is better than Tyler Roberts. “When you are talking about a number 10, you need to be the star player. You need the one who creates, the one that opens up the door. He cannot do that on a regular basis. “Wilson is a busy player, he has an eye for a pass, pace and a wonderful left-foot. He can adapt to a number of roles as well which is what Marcelo Bielsa likes.” please log in to view this image
As I said yesterday, Alioski shouldn't be picked to start again this season. Firstly he will get mullered against Bale and Son this weekend, but more importantly why select someone who isnt going to be here next season, when we can try Davies and Huggins and see if they are options that could save millions in the transfer market. We have now moved on from old names like Big Mick, Warnock, Big Sam etc, so wish all these so-called in the know ex player pundits would shut up talking bollox. I can say this knowing that Carlton wont kick off about me being racist or say he thought about suicide
Morning all, I assume Palmer had recently received a blow to the head before spouting that absolute drivel. To me his comments are worse than the usual rubbish spouted by the likes of Carney, Agbhonlaor or O Hara on talksport. Alioski to the turkish scum is the worse kept secret in football at the moment. Without getting into the right or wrong of the move what a waste of time asking for it to be kept secret. I would have more respect for Alisoki if he just let it be announced. People are going to be angry and have been angry so deal with it out in the open rather than letting gossip and rumour potentially make it worse.
Palmer talking absolute crap Hes seen the advantages of being a certain box ticker and is after a job with SlySports or the BBC to talk further crap
We used to give him grief when he was up on sexual harrassment charges. I think he got sent off that day. Thick as ****e, looks it, talks it. I should say it was a match I was at when he returned to ER, could have been for Forest or Weds. My memory is ****. "When the opening goal arrived it was a flash of brilliance from Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink out of keeping with the rest of Leeds's early play. Accepting the ball inside the centre circle, the striker swivelled past Andy Johnson and eluded a half-challenge from Steve Chettle before unleashing a humdinger of a shot, leaving Crossley rooted to the spot. It was Hasselbaink's 17th goal of another productive campaign. Alan Rogers ghosted beyond the home ranks eight minutes after the interval to level with a stinging left-foot drive. But the visitors' joy was short-lived. Richard Gough was penalised for manhandling Hasselbaink, and Ian Harte restored Leeds's advantage with an exquisite dead-ball finish. A predatory strike from Smith gave the hosts extra breathing space in the 84th minute after Harte's corner had been headed down at the far post by Jon Woodgate and the visitors' misery was compounded when Palmer saw red following two rash challenges on Lee Bowyer in the space of five minutes."
So Costa is now out for the rest of the season and it begs the question why cant VAR go back and take action against players who clearly go out to hurt a player. Wan Bisaka wrestled Costa to the ground by throwing him over his back right in front of the ref. Injured spine, season over? Raphinha arguably Leeds best player was targeted by Fernandinho and taken out. Raphinha hasnt played in 3 games and may not be back for a while. The challenge was a blatant attack and stopped Raphinha chasing in on goal, he was taken out cynically?
Close What you're thinking of it Ex Saints Manager Dave Jones' comments about Palmer. "He covers every blade of grass out there… but that's only because his first touch is so crap."
Agree but it will never happen. Cheating or unsporting gamesmanship just get thrown to the side. The people above just don't want to know for whatever reason. One time we had a real honest game on English shores now it's becoming one of the worst. If you don't punish it it will continue because they know they can get away with it. Did anyone see the Peterborough incident on the weekend? Needed a point 2-3 down into the 6th min of added time and a player does this to get promotion. It actually makes me sick to see blatant cheating and whats even worse nothing is getting done about it. fast forward to 1:40 if you want to see it.
The referee is totally to blame for giving the pen absolutely ridiculous he should be banned, as for the player nothing new there that's what football has become and it's without doubt not a patch on yesteryear. Is anything going to be done....whadda you think
The ref should never be let near a football ground ever again and the cheating player banned unfortunately this will continue to happen until The Club Managers take action again unfortunately they are gaged
I remember many many years ago when European Football started to become popular and we started playing Italian teams the consensus of opinion at the time was that the Latins could not stay on their feet sadly every footballing nation has caught the disease
