Not sure if he lived there, he was on a Cargo ship the Ambassador that sank with a few losing their lives. It was his first trip to sea! He appeared on Blue Peter and told his story of survival. I left one of the companies other ships a Tanker Royal Crown in May 1964, and was asked by the head of Trinity House School to speak to Dave’s parents as the Royal Crown was his next ship. We later sailed together on the Melbrook as Navigating Apprentices. He was a good footballer at school. Billy B
