A great find. Thanks for posting. One of the respondents said... "Doesn't Waggy look young.Mansfield's best ever player. He was Hull and Mansfields best player.I asked him who was his best strike partner.Roy Chapman or Chris Chilton.Chilton by a long way he replied." geoffhill Manager please log in to view this image Posts: 2352 Joined: Wed Oct 20, 2010 2:21 pm Top
More good stuff. "My old man stopped going when we sold Waggy to Hull . He reckons they will never get anywhere while ever they are selling their best players and will always be a lower league side at best .for 55 out of the 56 years since we sold Waggy the old man has been correct . Oddly enough for the past 56 years I have thought this season will prove him wrong."
Could this work HT2? I've got this vision of loads of kids with free tickets who don't have an adult to take them, for various reasons. Single parent families with other kids to look after, no adult who likes football or who wants to spend money on a ticket, adult wants to go but prefers to go with mates in a different stand, and so on. Has the model been tried elsewhere and has it been seen to work?
When I started going to see City in 1960 as a schoolboy your teacher gave you a green free match pass on Friday, ion you didn't hand it back on Monday morning you couldn't get another, system worked well
But how old were you and did you have to be accompanied by an adult? I think these days you would need to be.
There is always going to be situations where it won't or can't work, but on the whole it's got to be a plus. It's more then we do now and it would be a start and a step in the right direction. It's been done previously. When I was involved in Hull city football in the community ( as it was known at the time, now the Tigers trust ) free tickets where given out in most schools we worked in. The numbers of free tickets given started to drop once we moved to the KC and the crowds started to grow, but you could argue that those now paying for tickets could have been the kids getting them free in previous years and became hooked?
This is what the club is sending out to those currently enquiring about memberships... I suspect we're the only club in English football not selling passes/memberships for next season yet. The expectation is that fans will be allowed to attend as normal from the start of the season (hone fans at least), surely they should be planning for this?
The capacity at the KCOM is **** all, it's the MKM Stadium now. They seem to have been missed off the memo.
You do know we're gonna get a load of mackems invading the stadium because the thick twats can't program their gps's right?
It'll make a change from the stuttering Dexy's Midnight Runners fans....CCCCmon Eileen tarooayeiah...
