I was never a Boris fan either because of his broad brush approach to things and occasional idleness to master the detail. The faux pas relating to Zagary Radcliffe was a classic.

But I'll give him credit for three things - delivery Brexit after the embarrassment of the last Parliament, delivering the Covid vaccine to the NHS and putting us on the cusp of what most economists believe will be one of the most successful economic recoveries in the Western World.

He is charismatic, and I don't want to see him go, but I do want him to have an overseer for his own good and the good of the country. The Tories have to fix that. And it has to be independent of a Boris veto.

Here's hoping those economists are correct. I have a vague memory of people taking them with a pinch of salt not so long ago.

I'm also not a Boris Johnson fan. I try to raise my son with values, morals, honesty, integrity and to treat people as you would like to be treated yourself. None of the above apply to the leader of our country.

That's because over Brexit, the economists were telling us they could project 30 or 40 years ahead which was a nonsense. The current economic predictions are over the course of this year

Agree its completely different to the project fear ones. We are heading for a massive boost. This data is correct as we can tell due to orders and bookings.
I like Boris and he is very popular throughout the country. Labour supporters must be cringing with Captain Hindsight at the helm. He is a dud and will lose them votes.
I made a mistake yesterday... the tories actually have a 11 point lead not 10. At Christmas Labour were 4 points in front. This is not just down to how well Boris is doing but how crap Labour is?

Labour have a massive problem. Just seeing the Tories beating them in Scotland is amazing. Their best hope is if the Tories mess up. That's why the Tory grandees need more checks and balances on Boris, because as much as he is a huge asset to them, he could also shoot them all in the feet.

Starmer's problem is apart from him being a dull, uninspiring lawyer-type that makes John Major look interesting, he's a Remainer, he would almost certainly have joined the EU's vaccine programme and there's a big Rejoin faction in Labour.

That's where you and myself differ massively. I couldn't bring myself to like anyone who lies regularly with little moral values. Each to their own though.

Just out of interest regarding chopping and changing. How many u-turns has Johnson made during his reign as PM.?

Boris has chopped and change because he was forced to. The difference being that Captain Hindsight does it for political point scoring.
Anyway TBH Labour has a dud leader whereas Boris is a winner.

I assume that should say “whiner”. His one redeeming feature is that for some mental reason he appeals to millions of forelock-tuggers but you can’t seriously other politicians of “political point scoring” while cheering for him. I’m embarrassed for you.

You must have missed my earlier post (although you did reply). I haven't got a political party home at the moment, so your point is slightly off beat mate.

    Thanks for that Watford (winner).
You don't need to keep being embarressed for me. 4-5 lefties on here don't represent the majority. 80 seats because people rejected the Labour Party. Thats embarrassing 80 seats.<laugh>

Ah yes forced to! Does that make it better?
I'm surprised that anyone actually likes a man who is shagging some chic whilst his Mrs is being treated for cancer, or lies on a regular basis to serve his own purpose, makes racist, homophobic and sexist comments, gets sacked for lying, sets an example of corruption and greed. Top bloke. This my friends is why society is heading where it is. Not Johnson personally but the whole nature of politics.

My advise to you is if you can find a politician that is 100% honest and will always do what he/she says then vote for them.
