I'm watching a series about Winston Churchill.
In the last episode it tells you about his final days.
He was well known as "The Greatest Living Englishman"
Private Eye called him "The Greatest Dying Englishman"!

Great news for those who follow the opinion polls. Two out this morning in TheTimes and The Mail both have Tories 40 Labour 39. Somewhat different from the 11 ( eleven) point lead Saff Lad was crowing about a couple of weeks back. Tubs de Pfeffel and Carrie Antoinette have transformed Tory fortunes!

Owen Jones is hilarious as crazy Lefties go. Funnier than Nish Kumar without even trying.

Apparently when the government gave contracts for supplying PPE to people with Conservative connections it was the elite looking after their own.

In the Jones fantasy world, one presumes that Labour would just have gone to the CCP and handed over control of the country, no contracts required. When you need PPE now, not in six months time, the tendering process that would normally exist for public procurement goes out of the window.

We got vaccines quickly because the government appointed an expert to set up a taskforce to acquire vaccines at any cost as quickly as possible. We paid over the market rate but we got vaccines as soon as they were approved by an approvals process that had been fast tracked because he hired an expert.

At the same time, the E.S.S.R. dithered over making sure that they negotiated contracts across various suppliers so as not to favour any particular member state. No word yet on when France’s Sanofi will actually bring a vaccine to market. The European pharmaceutical regulator even took a couple of weeks off over Christmas 2020 because approving vaccines clearly was not a matter of urgency when the European public are expendable in the cause of The Project.

Julia James: Death of PCSO found in Snowdown woods treated as murder

A white female PCSO is murdered while walking the dog and her body disposed of in the woods.

Can somebody tell me when the women’s rights protesters will be contacting the police requesting permission to arrange a vigil?

Or are they not bothering this time? No possibility that there was police involvement?

Bullshit. They had random companies that had nothing to do with PPE or any experience in the medical procurement world. There's putting out to tender and handing cash over to their mates.

    You serfs are hilarious <laugh>

You really are a brain dead Leftie WUM.

Half the sellers on Ebay have no experience in the goods they are selling but anybody can get some factory in China to produce something that they see a market demand for, import it and sell it to numpties on the internet.

Obviously the government should have had no dealings with James Dyson as his company makes vacuum cleaners not ventilators. How stupid of them to contact somebody with a capability for manufacturing technical machinery in a time of national emergency.

In the crazed world of the Lefties, Churchill started building factories in 1940 as we needed things like guns, bombs and tanks. In the real world he got factories that were producing goods that were of no use to the war effort to switch to producing goods that we did need. You would think that the Left would remember that member of the wartime national coalition government called Ernest Bevin – they had to create a constituency to make him an MP as he was a trade union leader.

    Great news guys.

In a recent survey Conservatives hold a 43 to 34 lead over Labour. 9 point lead showing they would win by a big majority, again.
