Having been in no TV and mobile land for a bit, I spent a while playing catch-up and watching our games on the FLS off of the Sky recorder. I noticed that SG didn't give any post-match interviews and sent Ian Miller to do them. Is there any reason for this?
Altogether now...IAN MILLER, who the feck is this guy? Anyway, I wondered about this as well, and the only solution I could come up with is that Bates has yet again fallen out with the media and wanted to ban them all. As we are contracted with Sky for football coverage and this means interviews with players, managers, coaches etc, then I reckon Bates has told Grayson not to speak to the media and to send the man with the grey hair that nobody knows to do the chatting for him. May be wrong, but I reckon there's an element of truth in it.
Part of Bates' spat with the BBC I think. It's not as if Grayson's post-match analysis is any great loss to TV viewers anyway!
ClownTime is stalking SG so he's staying off the telly until he is apprehended and put in a padded cell with a strait jacket on
It seems really pointless and stupid and makes everbody involved look bad. Bates look petty and Grayson looks weak. Fergie, Allardyce and Redknapp all refused to speak to the BBC because of a personal issue and it was denying them the views of a top Premier League manager. As far as I'm aware Grayson has no personal issue with the BBC and it's just denying them cliches, delivered in a gormless fashion, from the worst football manager of all time. The BBC is a big organisation and the people who make the football shows have nothing to do with those who make half-arsed documentaries. But then everyone who has banned them has been a c***.
Regardless of your personal opinion about SG, I don't believe he deserves to be put in a padded cell with a strait jacket on.
Well said Pags - to be fair I wont miss his dull full time interview's anyway. Cant believe they think anyone cares if they dont speak to the media - I don't give a sh1te
It's with the BBC that Bates has him refusing to do interviews. Last night's game was on Sky. I wouldn't have thought Bates would be making concessions to the BBC at this particular time!
Why don't you start doing Leeds post match interviews? I think you're a natural when it comes to handling people, if your Leicester exploits are anything to go by.
