Oh it is basically a guarantee, that every time you transfer out a player, he will go on and get double figures in the next game week, while the player you transferred in, will have a sh*t game, get booked and go off injured.
My expectations are not high I worry that Saints will raise them and then dash them as they did v Spuds At least I will have a beer and a curry and a good weekend ahead walking in Dorset and meeting with Friends COYFS
I am awake (that is the problem with having developers working in Manila that couldn’t access the Dev environment I built out last night…) Feeling nothing yet. No positive vibes, but no negative ones. Dishwasher still to be done though, so maybe that will determine the mood of the day
I think the only way that we could've stopped him going was to offer him more first team football, the mistake was not to replace him. Jake Vokins was seen as the natural replacement at the time but he obviously never impressed Ralph enough to be trusted to cover Bertie and therefore square pegs were used instead. Vokins may well come back from the Makems a better player and more ready to play but the decision to not replace him and Valery in January has cost us dearly I believe. I'm proud of the way that Matty has kicked on with Villa but always felt that he lacked the pace for Ralph's style and system.
I feel the players have given up for the season, as witnessed in recent performances and some are planning their exits. Foxes have it all to play for with a champions league spot and FA Cup. Foxes have a good record against us and l can see this being a heavy defeat for us.
I've kinda lost interest in the season now., I would like to see youngsters come in and play, Hopefully he will put in Ferry... see what he is made of Perhaps Jankewitz.
How's this for a 'Clutching at Straws' theory? In (very) recent weeks, the fortunes of Southampton and Hampshire Cricket have been polar opposites: Hampshire completely dominated Gloucestershire, but couldn't quite get a win. Meanwhile, Saints were losing to all comers. Yesterday, Hampshire fell apart, with a depressingly low score of 92 all out. This clearly means that it is the turn of the footballers to come good, so I'm confidently predicting a 3-0 win for Saints. This early morning anti-depressant liquid (aka beer) has kicked in already...
I suspect that the only Ferry that will help Saints today is a Red Funnel car ferry, in front of the goal. Knowing Saints, we'd then lose the toss and kick towards it.
