Yeah, it is a tricky one to negotiate and she said when she deposited there was no notice of signing up for a bonus or the like. I can't be certain if she did make a mistake during it all but from what she has shown me, it seems very sketchy to me. It's just the matter of principle with it now for her, she's happy for them to keep hold of the money she did "win", but is not happy about her deposit and the total lack of incompetence shown regarding communication with her. I am not sure if she has any grounds to regain that initial deposit or just let it go and forgot the whole situation, but she is pretty stubborn and asked if I knew any course of action to take in order to gain that back. I have never encountered any hassle myself using online (touch wood), so I'm not much use unfortunately. Thanks for your response, Tam.
Only 2 options I can think of: 1; See if she can get legal aid advice to see if it is worthwhile taking them to court. They won't want to risk court action but if she hasn't got a leg to stand on then 2. Kick up a fuss on their website and get friends to back her up. If there isn't a way of hitting their website, set up a Hate site and see if any one else joins in. She will need to make sure any searches on their website finds hers
I’d think that the best option- to save your sister further hassle/distress - would be to forward the details to one of the sports media and give them some adverse publicity.
They disabled her account Ron, but she took screen shots of some of the live chat where she spoke to a person named Olivia, and in that conversation Olivia offers to refund the deposit and lose the bonus and 134 euro she won. She was told someone would get in touch the day after ( Wednesday) but all she has got seems to be automated e-mail stating her balance again and then saying ocme again someone will be in touch. Very odd.
Sickening I did not get a run off that monster at 40/1, would have gave Shishkin a race without a doubt.
Klassical Dream was my Champion Hurdle horse last year but he ran like a bag of ****e. Given plenty time off he sauntered home in the Stayers today to earn a 171 Racing Post figure. The 159 rated Epatante won that Champion Hurdle and you would need to think Klassical Dream is a lot better than he showed last season.
Send them a copy of the screenshot and demand a reply and refund. Threaten to send copies to the media. Keep at it until the bastards pay up.
In the UK I would go to https://beta.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/public-and-players/guide/complain-about-a-gambling-business Im guessing all countries have a similar set up.
Thanks. I've let her off to her own devices now, if she gets any response or if anything comes from it I shall let you all know, thanks for the input. I since helped her open an account with 365, she won't go too far wrong there regarding the running of day to day business and support staff, for all she will likely use it 3 or 4 more times this year.
Happy phone call this morning to say that Mr. Play had e-mailed her after midnight last night stating that the money she deposited and won was all available now for withdrawal and if she wanted too, thereafter, could close her account. They told her they disabled her account and cut almost all avenues of communication for 3 days to deactivate the bonus, which I find hard to believe. It seems like something a click of a button the very first night by the live chat host, or perhaps the next day by someone in an office could have done. Anyway, she withdrew the money and closed it down, lesson learned. Thanks for any input lads and please god the money arrives back to her now, I would have likely just left it to be honest.
Result. Glad it worked out. I've had one or two issues with Bet365 in the past but they're still my favourite to use
Yeah, I think it became more a matter of principle for her than getting the money back, she was bit embarrassed and also horrified at the treatment she was receiving . Shes a proud woman, or so she says, I call it stubborn and tenacious on one of the screenshots, she is basically being told she must go and bet over 5000 on the slots to be able to free up her money for withdrawal, absolutely bizzare that is and I am really not sure how betting companies get away with that kind of thing when they all preach for gambling safely etc. Luckily, she is a rare exploiter into the betting world and doesn't like games of pure chance. I mainly use 365 myself smokey, never had an issue as of yet, keep to the main stays of the industry and I think generally they are pretty decent to deal with.
