We've not had much rub with the pens of late. Longstaff - Clear and obvious pen - however I can sympathise with the defending team because he is not deliberately being dangerous. Its in the rules though it doesn't have to be intentional. I can also have sympathy with the human making the error. I think the problem is the slow mo. Slowed right down Longstaff stoops into that area after Tarkowski kicks the ball. Reality in real time is those things are happening at the same time virtually so its a pen. Wilson - Clear and obvious pen for push by TAA Feel for that West Ham lad. Balbuena - Clear and obvious its not a pen - simply kicked the ball and an unfortunate follow through. Just a lack of understanding of the game, and possibly the disadvantages of watching things in slow mo as opposed to real time. Slowed down or in snapshot, it looks really bad. Real time in full flow you think "that's just unfortunate".
The West Ham player slipped a little after kicking the ball. It was never a red. Refs should show more balls
More???? Did his shorts slip or split or something???? Not sure if that really is a sensible way forward with the use of VAR to be perfectly honest!!!
I agree. It’s only when the decision is blatantly incorrect that it should be. Less of this microscopic crap.
Do you really think every decision var and the on field refs make are correct? I can't believe that you think that people can't be wrong?
It was a penalty in real time and in slo-mo and in stills and in every alternative universe that exists. It was sooooooo obviously a penalty that Mrs Doubtfire of Dubious Street in Didnthappensville thought it was a penalty never mind Jim.
