West Brom changed formation to match up with us second half ... made it more difficult for us t to find the spaces we had in the first half but also made it more comfortable for us defensively .. Big Sam was mindful of damage limitation there, not looking to get anything from the game ... Castagne is so much more effective down the right and Luke Thomas gives us much better balance with his natural left peg ... Even leaving out the goal, Vardy looks like he is right back in terms of his movement and pace ... Biggest plus was just how good the back 3 now look ... and the invention in midfield is as good as I've seen from a Leicester team in over 50 years watching ... So very different to this time last season... Really looking forward to each game at the moment
Lots of points being dropped by the greedy 6! Since the announcement of that super league, Liverpool twice, Arsenal and Chelsea have dropped points against Leeds, Brighton, Everton and Newcastle 10 points swing now needed against Liverpool to be sure of finishing ahead of them! Hoping for a draw now between West Ham and Chelsea.
A good number of points dropped by the super 6, which is obviously super for us, assuming we capitalise by winning on Monday.
I’m thinking the Chelsea win isn’t so bad, if they finish in the top 4 with us it removes the permutation of both European competitions being won by English sides outside the top 4 and removing 4th spot...they also have tough games. We now need a 9 point swing on Spurs, 10 on Liverpool and 11 on West Ham which can come from them dropping points as well as us gaining them. We need to do what we did in the run in in 2016 and professionally see these next 3 games through, maximum points from them and it will probably be mathematically done as well!
Absolutely dirt that half. Same as always, come up against a big physical side we are out of ideas! If we could rescue a point from this it would be good considering what we have served up so far and could be important come the end of the season.
Always nice to win from a losing position. Scrappy but deserved . quality goals .. evans 3 point winning tackle.. fofana and castagne bit off the pace today and maddison seemed almost disinterested.. but hey ho
Hard work tonight, Palace are generally dire but always turn up against us. Massive 3 points and Iheanacho, just wow, what a strike 4 days to recover and we go again. That's just me
Results over performance at this point and 3 vital points. Does show the improved mental strength from last year. 8 points maximum now!
I don't care how we win at the moment.....just win! I thought only Ndidi seemed to care in the 1st half, but Brenda obviously said the right things at half time. I celebrated that Johnny Evans tackle like a goal WOW!!!! And what an absolute rocket from Iheanacho. The man just can't stop scoring. I'm now thinking of 2nd place, as IF we can beat Southampton on Friday night, we will only be 2 points behind Man Utd, who have to host Liverpool on Sunday. IF they lose that we would be right back in with a shout, seeing as we have to play them too. But, I'll just be happy to stay 4 points ahead of 4th and 7 ahead of 5th
you may be forgetting that a draw between the 2 money grabbing clubs is possibly the best result for us !
It's irrelevant whether we finish second, third or fourth, so I'd much rather those below us get nul points.
Agreed, certainly not a Liverpool win, the draw is slightly tempting though I must say....tbf I expect Man Utd to do what they need to do to finish above us anyway. 3rd would be amazing!
Most importantly we need to look after our own results. We need to win on Friday night first and foremost.
We only won these next two in the corresponding fixtures last season by a 14-0 aggregate, what can go wrong eh
I'm tired of reading how we supposedly choked last season, when yes results dropped off but mainly because we finished with about half a team. In a few years we won't care if we finished second or third so long as we can say we qualified for the Champions League on merit. Catching Man U would be great but a couple of wins in the next two should see be the main focus, then we can look upwards.
