Unlike previous seasons where we were voting for the "player less worse"....

Who is the player of this season.

Dieng: wonderful goalie, who goes away on an international jaunt, comes back breaks nose, gets sent off and then makes "goalie booboo #101".. so no one will come for me (Spam) so I can be promoted with the superRs next year

Dickie: after a few false steps makes a fantastic step up to the Championship, but then tends to give away the ball in uncomfortable areas

Barbet: played nearly every minute, great diagonal balls.

Johansen: I'm just about perfect here...but where were you at the start of the season.

Wallace: you never thought I was that good, didya!

Chair: Brilliant but not always...but I am 5'2"

Willock: can I just go for young player of the year

Dykes: Can only score from the penalty spot, I'm useless, hang on...bloody h*** I'm now a goal scoring god, but I can't score a penalty anymore.

Austin: I came, I saw, I changed the whole season, with my positive outlook.

Uncle Adomeh: I just want to be here and be loved

    Hard choice.

Biggest surprise of the season for me, seeing how much Wallace has improved.

If I had to choose, it would be between Dieng, Barbet, Dickie and Chair. I think I would probably just about opt for Dickie with Dieng second. Dickie hasn't always been great defensively but he is the best ball playing/passing centre half we have had for a few years and this is his first season in the Championship,

The trick is to hold on to all our players during the close season and add to the squad if we can in order to go for a play off spot next season. I think our biggest assets are Dieng, Chair and Dykes. Financially, we may have to sell some of those lads if any offers come in. I could see Dykes adjusting to playing in the Premier League. Some lower end PL team (Southampton, Newcastle, Brighton, Burnley) or one of the newly promoted sides may take a punt on him, particularly if he has a good Euros with Scotland.

    Edit -
I was out all afternoon. Just seen the highlight's of the game and I thought Dieng was dreadful for the first two goals, particularly the first. It looks like his confidence is shot? I can't see many offers coming in for him now which might be a good thing as he is decent.

You missed out our £13m wing back Beth.

For me Dickie came into an unsettled back line and a step up in league, which is a tall order. And he has grown throughout the season into a player we wouldn’t want to lose. He’s had his moments, but every player does; it’s all about the positives for me. Given his chance to adapt, settle in with Barbet and he’s had a very strong season. So for me he pips Dieng then Barbet.

I am keen to see how Willock develops next season, so YP goes to him.

Hasn't Barbet played every minute of every game? That helps his case a lot.

No idea who I'd give it to. Could justify any of Dieng, Dickie, Barbet, Willock, Chair, Dykes. I wouldn't give it to a loan player. Dykes maybe given the effort and huge improvement we've seen? Him or Barbet for me but I'd not complain at any.

Barbet has played every game, but I can't remember any where I'd have had him as MOM. You can't give it to a loan player, so it's Dieng or Dickie for me. They both ****ed up today, but I'd give it to Dickie.

Willock has to be right up there for me. Or Dieng.

I've thought Dieng until his recent errors. I'd go for Barbet now, played ever minute, has an excellent view of the game, sees danger quickly and sorts it, looks to have made fewer errors than last season, great left foot, and I can't remember him having anything less than a good game this season.

Would have to give it to Dickie. Seems to look better and better most weeks.

I think I would give it to Ding. He came into a side and has helped breathe confidence in last line of defence and he has helped bring on Rob Dickie and Barbet. I also think that Chair deserves a mention - given the number 10 shirt - a short that we all know has pressure attached to it (however if I was playing for the R's it would be the shirt I would want). Also, thinking about how the side has gelled and performed since the start of the year - maybe the fact that BOS left is also telling - maybe he stalling on a contract before his eventual sale was also hindering progress.
If I was offered the position we are in at the start of the year, I would have taken it.

It's Dieng for me, he's been consistently great (last two games aside), his reassuring presence has allowed the defenders to play with greater confidence.

I think everyone has covered the Honourable mentions but Dickie at times has been fantastic, Barbet consistent. The fullbacks have had an interesting time of it but the renaissance of Lee Wallace has been very pleasing.

Illias Chair is progressing and has been decent but performances not yet matching his ability and potential for me. If he can improve his decision making in the final third it will be very exciting. Chris Willock has been brilliant of late, think he'll be a big player for us next season.

Lyndon Dykes has been something of a revelation recently, I wonder if his upturn would still have happened if crowds were present, we know how much our fan base likes to bully their own players.

Can't ignore our loanees all of which have had an impact. Our season had turned to **** before these guys arrived. It's probably unrealistic but I really hope we make an effort to retain them all.

Can’t remember the last time this needed any sort of debate. Delighted, there’s been a number of star performers. Dickie for me though.

    We have a choice!
Gnat's whisker between Dieng and Dickie and Dykes. I'm not including anyone who came in January as not fair on the lads who've grafted all season.
Dickie for me. Plays with passion and for the shirt and scores the occasional screamer!

Great that there are several contenders. Close call between Dieng and Dickie.

My choice is Dickie as a large part of our defensive improvement is the partnership he has formed with De Wijs, Barbet & Cameron.

Dieng for me....Dickie has been part of a much improved defence, but having Diengs safe(ish) hands behind them has given them the confidence to improve on their performances last year. Several occassions pre-Christmas Seny produced match saving stops to either see out a win or secure a point for us. The change to a back three and the loanees have solidified us, both in midfield and defence, and means that Dieng may get overlooked for POTY in deference to someone else, but apart from last couple of games he's been solid for most of the season.

You lot have no idea, we have a £13m player in young Kane, he should be player, & young player of the year & I would give him the goal of the season trophy for good measure
