Not my sort of price but Silent Hunter is a horse I was very sweet on 3 years ago, thought he was a potential monster, hes only having his 2nd run since then but they havent persevered with him for nothing imo and he ought to be 2s on off 85 in a class 3. Could be one for a good handicap at Ascot. Quickstep Lady is another one who caught my eye in maidens and shes been very consistent without winning but looks the type who will keep progressing to around 100 in time and tonight might be the time to catch her off 85. Oisin rides both and im doing the double at just under 9/1 with Skybet. Doncaster 5.55 Silent Hunter 13/8 7.30 Quickstep Lady 11/4
Local pub beer garden this afternoon booked. Why not? EW Lucky 15 at Sandown 1.55 Celestial Force 3.05 Greaneteen 3.40 Larry 5.25 L’Homme Presse And a little go on Rudys above. Thanks mate. Have a good weekend gents. All the best with yours
Enjoy the beer garden karlos , not open here till monday , I reckon I can wait a bit more ,,till weather is proper warm and the initial rush has died down .
Love that horse but she usually keeps her best for Cheltenham and hasn't done so well against the boys. Good luck, though!
Won’t bore you all with my selections, just wanted to check that Pops is ok with his hangover. He was clearly drunk when posting his reply to sticks brilliant bumper winners last night. Anyway, really looking forward to his selections today, and don’t forget to not upset him by liking his post after they lose. It’d be upsetting to him and you will likely to get moderated for such behaviour.
At the risk of upsetting one of the truly nice men on this forum I have to mention that my team, QPR, are a knocking good bet to beat Norwich in West London today. Rangers sit third in the current form table and are playing some lovely football whereas Norwich are caught somewhere in a triangle between the beach, the premier league and actually winning the Championship. At 3/1 the home side are a fair bet. Because I am a greedy chap I have doubled us up with West Ham who are 4/1 to beat Scumski
Irish Prophecy @ 16/1 ew in the Whitbread. Twominutes Turkish @ 12/1 in the Sandown opener. That is all got a day of **** golf in the Shropshire sunshine lined up. Oh and though I’ve caught up with them all too late some quality tipping from Ste D and Stick this week. Bravo chaps.
Have you got anything for us for the Run For The Roses next weekend mate? Love the fav as won a few quid on him at a monster price in the Breeders but im feeling frisky and looking to take him on here.
Morning all, see the forum has been on fire this week banging in winners left, right and centre so well done all. Now I'm here that will all change . Fancy a few today so here goes. Main fancy today is MUMS TIPPLE, 2.10 Leic. Don't like it when a trainer has two in a race and only 4 runners too. I think this is his optimum trip and coming back to form, currently 5/2 second fav. Over at Haydock will have a small win bet on DREAMLOPER 7/2 2.50. Only reason I think there is a draw bias favouring low drawn runners and this one in stall 3. 2.45 Leic DANCING KING 6/4 to get the hat trick. 5.55 Don FIEROSPEED 11/4 also to get the hat trick. Good luck all.
Today's Telly Tormenters! Sand 155 Pasvolsky (very tricky opening race, hopeful) 230 Frodon 305 Altior (to prove he's no back number) 340 El Presente Hay 250 Gobi Sunset (to make all and hang on) Leic 210 Mums Tipple (still keeping the faith) Good luck all
Am going to have a go at these two bets, Stick, wonder if Bustino will too? Win or lose, thank you for your observations. (Can't help moaning about that loss up at Rotherham 3-1 two or three weeks ago. What a flaming nuisance it could well turn out to be?)
A belated "well done" to Stick on his big priced winners. Sadly for me I failed to read the DT so missed out! Other good news Stickler, is that I don't do footy bets!
The 2.50 Haydock has some real old cuddies in the field and very little appealed. I thought the 4YO's Gobi Sunset and Dreamloper were likely to run well. Gobi Sunset has been apprentice ridden this season but Fanning takes over today. A typical Mark Johnston busy sort so far he should be thereabouts. I thought Dreamloper stood out as the potential improver after a decent season last year. Ed Walker is in form and if she has improved over the winter this race should be within her grasp. 2.50 Haydock Dreamloper 4/1 DreamLoper/Gobi Sunset reverse forecast
Sandown 13,55 Pasvolsky 12/1 e/w (five places WH, others 11/1 four places) 15,40 Potterman 11/1 e/w (five places) 17,25 Haafapiece 22/1 e/w (four places) Limerick 15,30 Springbank 11/4 Leicester 13,35 Little Boy Blue 7/2 (bet365) Good luck all.
Afternoon gents, one of my fav cards of the season at Sandown today (although I did prefer it when it was a mixed card with the Derby Trial preceding the Whitbread. Happy memories). Obviously Sceau Royal for me in the Celebration Mile today - but will this be Altior's swansong, whatever happens? Either way, he has been an absolute superstar and deserves a long and happy retirement if they do decide on that after today. He owes nothing to connections.
16:15 Sandown - Indefatigable (Decent chance in this small field. Distance and ground should suit admirably for this smart hurdler. Rex Dingle rides for trainer Paul Webber. 6/1 best price at time of writing.)
Hi Oddy. being pedantic as ever, but I think it's the Celebration Chase, although all the horses would be delighted to go just a mile, easy money like! Like Sceau Royal, , but would also like to see Altior go out in style too.
