The wife and I were reminiscing the other night about our days in infants school circa late 1950s.
The subject of getting your school books marked by the teacher and being given a coloured star for your work.
Green, blue yellow etc were ok, red was quite good, silver was great but a gold star was the stand out achievement for work well done, and greatly treasured.
Anybody else remember those halcyon days when you didn't have anything to worry about as your years of being a Sunderland fan were on a far off horizon.
Happy days indeed.
