I've been thinking about how feasible it would be to get away with this. You'd have to be at a place with enough staff so that you weren't missed in the crowd, and not well known enough to supervisors so that they don't notice your absence. Ideal time to do it is with a new job, maybe a department transfer. Turn up on the first day when they're expecting you, then disappear.
Systemic problems like that in their public sector, allegedly. Then we've got it at the top with lobbying, Cameron's Greensill, etc. PPE contracts, Gove's mate's company. Matt Hancock's mate I think, actually.
