The Jamie Vardy story. Wouldn't it be an amazing final chapter to his playing career, Premier League and FA Cup winner.

A game where result was most important and got the result so great news! Quite a cagey and scrappy affair from both sides but Nacho with the goods!!

Somewhat overshadowed as far as football headlines are concerned with the news of the super league. Load of BS, kick ‘em out the league and we’ll win the lot <cheers>

Result is everything in a cup semi-final. Thought our back 3 were dominant throughout, and we no longer look so vulnerable from set pieces.

Just wish they hadn't tried to throw it away by being too clever in very tight situations when playing out from the back. Better teams will punish us.

Exactly. Not the best of games, but the result is all that matters in a semi final.

Now to keep free of injuries, and finish in the top 4. I'm looking for 12 points against West Brom, Palace, Southampton and Newcastle.

Vardy likes a goal or 2 against the Baggies, so hopefully his goalscoring form will return on Thursday night.

Wish granted. Big chance for us to now put a little distance between us and the chasers.

Too right. West Ham, Chelsea and Liverpool all dropping points. Just need the three points, performance not essential. Baggies are giving it a go though so need to be on our game.

Clean sheets and a few goals in the next 2 games wouldn't go amiss. Need to play our first eleven and put both teams under pressure from the start. Just wish that Maddison's injury showed some signs of being fixed for the long term. Without him we look a little short on creativity.

What are people's views on the Iheanacho and Vardy partnership? It is difficult to drop either of them, but sometimes I think I'd sacrifice one of them to bring in Praet and give us that extra player in midfield which might allow Maddison to play slightly further forward and slide the lone striker in.

I really like Praet, but I don't think we can sacrifice Vardy or Iheanacho at the moment.

Same team as Wembley for me.

Come on lads, let's take this chance.

Vardy can play up front on his own, Iheanacho doesn’t seem as effective.

Pretty hard to fault it really. Vardy has turned provider and defenses are so scared of him which is helping Iheanacho so much. The only change for me would be Maddison for Perez. Perez has great control in tight spots but doesn't create much or score enough, Maddison is better at both. If Maddison isn't fit then Praet instead.

Castagne having a great game, his best for a while and Thomas looking good on the left. Shame for Ricardo but he’s been poor (probably still coming back from so long out physically and mentally).
Strange game, great score line and so many chances created yet Nacho has had a shocker with some of those chances <laugh> genuinely could be 6 at half time! I also think despite the brilliance of the score line we have been very sloppy with passing and giving away possession. This could be any score we want it to be if we cut that out.

Finally a bit of daylight between us and 4th / 5th, great performance tonight, 2nd gear 2nd half and lots of sloppy passing, but well done again boys another 3 points and goals.
Also nice to have Vards back on the scoresheet

Both wing backs superb and Castagne si much better on the right... solid at the back with the two young guns either side of the imperious Jonny Evans ...

Important win, looked sharp. I was worried we'd be a bit off the pace after Sundays game and that after their last 2 wins WBA would be really up for it. Can't believe how poor they were. If anything, I'm disappointed that was 3-0

I thought I was being harsh thinking that it wasn’t actually a great performance despite the result but looks like Brendan thought to too!
It’s often frustrating from a spectacle point of view to settle as it were but I do think it was sensible to conserve energy ahead of the upcoming games so the game management in the second half was very good. As I said at half time, I did think we were very sloppy, giving the ball away (fortunately WBA were so dire they gave it straight back every time)! Just something to keep an eye on again better sides or sides who are better on the day as I don’t think Palace, Southampton and Newcastle in our next 3 can be that bad!
Result wise thought fantastic and loads of chances created so many more positives that negatives.

Agree with all the above comments. You would think we would be delirious at being 3 up at halftime in a Prem game but it should have been much more. have to have a comment about Fofana. This guy is amazing. 20 years old and so much improvement possibly to come its scary. He is so comfortable on the ball and apart from the odd error (again he is only 20) makes the game look so easy. I wouldn't mind seeing him a bit further forward as he has all the skills. A superstar in the making.

I was getting very frustrated after the first 20 minutes and, like all true Foxes fans, I thought our wastefulness would come back to bite us. But we played some delightful stuff and great comments from Big Sam. The passing across the back, particularly from Kasper, could have been crisper to prevent the receiver being immediately under pressure, but on the whole the defensive trio now look so comfortable and at the same time aggressive in attacking the ball. Thought Luke Thomas linked up really well down the left and Tielemans was his usual calm and unassuming self. He becomes more important every game for us and is De Bruyne's equal when it comes to executing the killer pass, and glad to see he is now taking charge of set pieces. I'm actually starting to believe we could do quite well this season. Hope I haven't spoken too soon!

For me, the result was all that mattered last night and I wasn't disappointed. Yes, we were sloppy in possession at times, but West Brom never laid a glove on us.

Castagne was brilliant last night, Tielemans just oozed class, Nacho should have a hattrick, I told you Vardy likes a goal against West Brom and the back 3 hardly put a foot wrong.

Just a thought, where does Barnes fit in when he is fit?

When we have Ricardo, Justin and Barnes available Brendan will have some decisions to make. And surely we'll be looking for a Vardy replacement over the summer. It bodes well for squad rotation if we get to the Champions League, but we need to make sure that there is no loss of balance when we do that.
