I think perez shows who was at the core of the onion It's not even about playing the poor hand. If the 14 try to control the prem their lack of ambition will hurt irt the thing over the longer term. The reality is you've long term clubs in the prem and very few of them outside the top 6. Of the 14, only everton are founder members and unbroken stay. Leicester are on the verge of making a 7th major club but are only building over a period. West ham fancy themselves but are as likely go down as anything. Villa.oight to be one but have bounced round. Newcastle are shamefully up.and down. The rest are only one crisis from the drop and fighting for 40 points.
The apology was for ' the disruption' what about the fact you didn't give a flying **** about the fans.£uck £$G.
I don't even know what you mean by that, tbh. I'm saying it had nothing to do with the scheduling of the slots, and it didn't - there were more basic considerations. They had games to show, they couldn't show them between 2.45 and 5.15, so apart from later in the evening, when else were they going to show them? That was the deciding factor, any coincidental effects were just that.
I don’t want us to leave the League Cup thanks all the same. Those clubs who are in Europe could maybe given the option of participating or not, but saying scrap it as that suits the clubs in Europe is exactly the sort of attitude that’s lead to the events of this week.
Isn't that a bit like saying if I open my shop for an extra two hours, people coming in and buying things is coincidental? The reason for the extra hours is to accommodate and make profit from a different market e.g. early morning workers.
Ok. Why did UEFA alter the times of the CL games? To get the games to a different market were there was demand but the existing hours didn't suit. Change the times and engage a section of the market who will now spend money on your product.
I'm fast losing patience with this, but I'll ask again: when they found themselves with games to show on a Saturday, what other times could they have picked?
My point is why did they have to add another slot? They could have just shown the extra games at one of the other 2 slots.
You can carry on playing your reserves and going out early then. It's a farce. City b win every year If not likely chelsea b
Look 2pm and 4 pm work grand on a sunday (ish) They could have done this but didnt. If you choose to ignore the mountain of stuff there is out there about 12noon being for the Asian market fine but you are in probably a minority there.
We played a strong side in most rounds this season and got to the QF only to lose to a full strength United. Oh and I’ll continue to enjoy it thanks, getting to go to away ties like Lincoln last season before lockdown.
They couldn’t play at 2 and 4 on a Saturday ffs. Oh and it’s 12.30 btw, which spookily ends about half an hour before the 3pms.
In these parts, they still go on about when York knocked out United from the LC like we do Istanbul. I say that not to be patronising at all, but to point out that in the second leg they sold out Bootham Park, had a full section of United fans (I'm sure most of them were from York, tbh), and faced a full-strength United which was televised live. The money made kept them going for a few good seasons too.
