The ironic thing is that it's all very stale because it's the same clubs over and over. This is what they can't grasp - they are the problem, not the solution. It's basically like a company making the same product over and over, but blaming the marketing department when people dont want to buy it anymore. Football is successful because of its legacy. The problems they are trying to address are due to financial mismanagement and costs that have escalated far too quickly. Salary cap? No thanks. Removing agents? Nah. Loan restrictions? Nope, not for me. Closed shop league so we can hoard more money? Yeah, that's the plan. There are SO many initiatives or rules that could be enforced to a) level the playing field, b) create variety and c) stop these clubs from an insatiable need for more money. But they won't do it. Their reasons for pulling out are nothing to do with fans, it was the lack of TV interest, legislation threat. If it'd just been fans, it would still be happening. I think football is ****ed, because the right answers aren't going to be put forward/
They'll just start putting out stories to their fans that if they don't join them their clubs will implode and they won't have a club to support. I can see it coming from a mile away. Once a good % start arguing for it they'll go for it again
This guy is suck a bellend A day after the remaining embers of English domestic football was temporarily saved and he's out here complaining about Monday night football
No, I think he's just pointing out the hypocrisy of some of the parties involved including Sky. If Sky had been involved and were expecting to make mega bucks out of the Greed League do you seriously think they would have led the media response the way they did?
He's always moaning about things. He acts like poor old newcastle are victimised. I think for once they need to get some perspective here and just be saying thankyou to sky eufa and the fans of the big 6 who've saved our club
This isn't about all about nufc yet they're desperate to make everything about poor old newcastle. It's clubs like newcastle sky TV and the fans of the big 6 have just saved completely, but he's out here moaning about Monday night fixtures. He's a bloody hypocrite himself because he's been out begging for the Saudis to come here without a care in the world for what that means for football. It's food for thought hence I no longer want the Saudis
The Saudi's are not recorded as wanting a closed shop to "elite" football. Associates with them are recorded as being distinctly against such a concept. Make no mistake when the Greedy Six talk about "stability" they are only talking about a closed shop at the top to guarantee their income and nobody else's.
What utter gash UEFA / Sky nor the fans of the “top 6” have saved our club!! I do not go to any matches since I gave up my season ticket purely because of Ashley and the utter contempt he shows our fans I do not buy anything from his shops , ever!! The quicker he is gone the better If the Saudis do takeover I don’t want a bunch of mercenaries coming in, but I do expect a team to show a bit of ambition with the hope of trying to win something If you don’t want the takeover to happen fine, but don’t post endless drivel otherwise I,ll have to put you on ignore ( however u do that)
It's stability of their balance sheet they seek... nothing more... nothing less. If our new owners opened up the possibility of fans collectively owning say 10% of the club I'd be all over that. I honestly think that Staveley and the Ruebens at least would be supportive of that, probably PIF too. From a PR and customer facing point of view it and the local investment will bring the fans closer to the club, make them want to spend more and engage more too. More importantly than that though, a happy fan base and a rocking SJP attracts new fans all over the world as folk want to be part if the experience too. Just look how many fans around the world we picked up in the Keegan years. Positivity breeds positivity.
Fixed. Go on Heed, you let it out. Almost killing you by forcing you to walk up a mountainside just to get a drink and then ducking his round. Despicable behaviour, I agree.
I'm not keen about this now, but I thought this was rather enlightening. I still believe an agreement was reached before Easter and I think it's possible that they big 6 know.
You know if you put Chaos on ignore, nothing will make any sense on here again. Life will be a mystery.
