Magennis - even without his goals he had a great game, led from the front and bossed it
Ingram - a couple of match defining saves
Wilks - classic Wilks, moments of frustration followed by moments of magic

Poor first half a definite dodgy penalty. Referee was poor generally.

Big Josh .. played with his heart on his sleeve .. stood up the challenge and had probably one of his best games in a City shirt .. I was calling for the senior pros to stand up and be counted and he couldn't have done much more .. top effort.

Doc ... a typical doc performance .. all energy and as the game goes on his ridiculously high energy levels leaves everyone in his wake .. in particular that run late in the second half were he covered best part of 2/3 of the pitch to relieve some pressure.. lad's quality.

Greaves .. there was only one reason Wyke put the elbow in and that was to try to unsettle the young lad .. but credit to him .. despite having a really nasty eye injury he didn't let us down and never shirked from the challenge.

Wilks - continues to frustrate with his decision making and impetulance .. but when he did stay on his feet and concentrate he provides 2 assists!

While Wilkes' decision making was terrible, he frightened the **** out of them every time he had the ball. If nothing else, they have to adapt, so helps put them on the back foot. Back in the day, I think it was accepted that wingers were like that, they'd be infuriating one minute or game, but then moments of brilliance creates an opportunity to win the game. Chris Waddle was generally an example, though towards the end of his career, I think he became more consistent. Maybe players like that have so much skill, they therefore have too many options?

Don't disagree. He just needs to mix it up a bit. That would have defenders even more worried.
