Some bellend from UEFA was banging on about how it would take away the opportunity for smaller clubs to attain success for ****s sake All the Chumpions League about is the big clubs getting richer and richer to the detriment of smaller clubs, UEFA's ****ing hypocrisy is laughable , if it weren't so ****ing obscene and tragic.

**** football and **** the lot of them. They don't give a flying **** about us ordinary fans and never will do. It's all about the money and ****ing off the rich, big clubs.

Watched an Old Firm game in a bar in Spain a few years ago, god the football was dire. League One standard at best. Actually, no. Would far rather have watched Peterborough vs Colchester Utd

 

All this seems like an inevitable consequence stemming from when the champions league moved to its group formate and incorporated teams who weren’t their league champions- and often nowhere near it.
Previous to that I’d watch just about any game knowing it was essentially a cup tie. After a season or two of the turgid self-serving groups I pretty much lost all interest.
