Whether this ESL ever takes off or not, I cannot get over the spectacularly inept behaviour from the club's owners in their woeful mishandling of it all.

Literally not even discussing it with their managers or players, let alone consulting the fans. This thing must have been months and months in the planning, and not one of them thought to suggest that they might need a period of consultation before announcing it.

****in idiots.
it's laughable...

They thought their fans would lap it up

Spurs will step down hopefully the Yank owned clubs probably won’t.

There's so much info flying around at the moment, but apparently now all six English teams have ditched this **** house idea

6 men, with decades of business experience between them, didn't even think to consult with their clubs first.

It's a ****in farce mate.
They didn’t even get that without genuine competition football means **** all, so it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest,

It was driven by clueless Yanks who have never understood football and it’s history, and wanted to clone their Sherman franchises that make them decent returns.

I don’t think they care about the fans here...for the foreign owners who have no affinity with our game and of course Levy the greedy kaant it’s become about the global audience and they obviously believe the global audience will outnumber the loss from upsetting the locals.

All true of the ones involved, but heard an interview on the radio with Alan Pace chairman of Burnley today and he talked so much sense and really did seem to get it. So it isn't all of them by any means

we are a super power when it comes to money...you need to learn quick sharp that this super league isn’t about who’s won what...it’s about who are the teams with the biggest global potential.

until you accept the criteria you’ll carry on crying about why Spurs are part of it...it’s like youve all accepted why the others have been invited but can’t understand why Spurs have.

This is about MONEY

Spurlock I used to think you were one of the more rational and intelligent posters on here but you are playing Russian roulette with a revolver that has five loaded chambers and not the usual one ie you can only lose
