I guess it won't be long before we hear the chant "Super League you're having a laugh"...

I am still determined to never watch another football match with those six pricks involved.
Fine them and ban them from Europe for two seasons. All twelve of them!

Hopefully all this crumbles into nothing and hopefully people never forget those clubs that were up for it. Twats

Does that mean we have to boycott the "big 6" games if listed in the prediction league?

Rest of the English clubs pull out. Spurs last, obviously.

Super league now includes one of the four CL semi finalists. Top class.

An instantly legendary cack handed affair which has left the perpetrators in a weaker position than when they dreamt this **** up, evidently taking advice from no one who knows anything about football.

Thoroughly enjoyable, I imagine the American owners of Liverpool and Arsenal will be looking to sell and with any luck the Utd share price will collapse leaving the Glazers well out of pocket.

You could hardly get a strategy more wrong.

I think we gave these clubs way more credence than they deserve. We all thought they had the upper hand and had a no fail plan all weighed up.

:emoticon-0136-giggl How hilarious is it that they seemed to be just winging it! It couldn’t be more farcical. All football fans will be credibly sitting smugly enjoying their pain. It will be a long and painful walk into work for all those club directors and chairmen tomorrow ... because trust me, every employee, player and manager will (justifiably) be sniggering at them.

Daniel Levy doesn’t sound particularly apologetic, or remorseful.

“We can confirm that we have formally commenced procedures to withdraw from the group developing proposals for a European Super League (ESL).

Chairman Daniel Levy said: “We regret the anxiety and upset caused by the ESL proposal. We felt it was important that our club participated in the development of a possible new structure that sought to better ensure financial fair play and financial sustainability whilst delivering significantly increased support for the wider football pyramid.

“We believe that we should never stand still and that the sport should constantly review competitions and governance to ensure the game we all love continues to evolve and excite fans around the world.

“We should like to thank all those supporters who presented their considered opinions.”

Does this dickhead really think fans believe his motivation was financial fair play and increased cash for the football pyramid, or that this no jeopardy pseudo competition would have delivered either? Jesus Christ the contempt he has for us.

I'd love to see all six get a 25 point deduction, that would liven up the remaining fixtures...
