Yeah, which would mean the only alternative would be watching with a VPN or an illegal stream, the latter of which would hurt the Super League if anyone here wants to watch it.
I personally feel they've got everything covered including the reassurances they can't be removed from other competitions. I just feel they'd not have gone this far unless they knew they'd dotted the I's and crossed the T's I feel it'll go through and they'll still be in the premier league. Game over for all clubs outside the 6 in this country when that happens..
Unless those Basque nationalists who blew up ex-Francoists put a bomb under Perez's car or something, it's happening.
They don't have to remove them from competitions, they can just deduct points for every super league game they play. Eventually it would then no longer serve a purpose those six clubs remaining in the Prem. Don't forget, point deductions have been levied on teams every season, for one reason or another and no one has successfully fought that yet that I can remember. Been quite a few teams given point deductions over the last few seasons.
Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday got points deductions for financial reasons. Breaking PL rules warrants points deductions and they wouldn't have a case to appeal.
But would that even matter to them? I mean the position they finish in the premier league wouldn't matter and for the others it's pointless chasing the European spots and they money that brings
Even if one PL club (likely Citeh) bottle it and admit a massive error of judgement, I think it'll still happen. Perez and Woodward are the masterminds behind it so unless Real Madrid or Utd drop out, it's still happening.
Exactly my point and I was actually thinking Sheffield Wednesday. Also in the National League, Dover have been heavily fined and had ALL their points removed, condemning them to relegation for next season.
Fair comment . I meant all the teams looking to break away and uefa etc . I don't think the 6 want this , but will use it as a bargaining tool . I certainly didn't mean the other PL teams let alone the other leagues.
I'm not sure it would really I think they will just play their second string and the prem would really just be of little consequence to them. I'm not sure what would be left of the premier league as a competition.. It'll be kinda heartless
It's about the fans this mate.. Regardless of the clubs sky's or eufas reasons on this one we need everyone on side
If they somehow won any legal dispute about being kicked out of the league then it could be a legal workaround to achieve the same. The FA and other authorities could specify that any game played in an unsanctioned competition resulted in a set points penalty. If they continued with the ESL then they would slowly drop through the leagues. The bonus is that if/when they came to their senses the clubs would still be there to work their way back so that the fans were punished as little as possible when it is the owners who are to blame.
I've already said previously they will play B teams, another reason what this is all about. Fook em, kick them out.
