It really comes down to whether the prem can and have the balls to kick them out. Then it's about a war and whether the premier league can once again become no 1.. There's still huge numbers of fans to be won all over the world and the clubs signing up will have the money and the advantage attracting them, but it might fall flat on its face If the product is boring... Personally I think it's doomed I think the games been sold to fans supporting the big 6 abroad and they're going to get what they want.
It's a join us or die approach! I fear that the clubs saying no are holding back waiting to see if the others fold or whether they'll be kicked out their respective leagues. I fear they'll join them if the rebellion fails.
Under the current format of the ELS PSG and Bayern would probably end up playing in it anyway as the champions of France and Germany. The current plans seem to include 5 clubs who qualify on merit, presumibly the champions (or closest club who have not already soul to the devil) of France, Spain, England, Germany and maybe Portugal/Holland
Probably wouldn't as I would expect it will be an unsanctioned tournament and the CL will still continue.
The owners of Stamford Bridge whose shareholders consist of Chelsea fans are expected to withdraw support for the club if they go ahead. Brilliant.
Fantastic If it doesn't happen we have to be grateful for the efforts of the fans of the 6 clubs involved. They're doing themselves and their clubs history proud
If the managers of these so called big 6 are so dead against all of this why not come out and say if you sign up to this super league and it goes ahead I'm off ! Surely that would make a bigger statement than just condoning it on SkySports ahead of kick off (Klopp last night) or are they just waiting for every ****er else to galvanise something to get it stopped? Regardless of the outcome their ****ehawk employers (Levy, Mansour, Glazers etc) have ****ing stitched them up like a kipper and thrown them under the bus, vote with your feet I say and walk away. I bet that's what Jose has done!! I'm sure there would be some sort of legal defence that it was a breach of their contract so they wouldn't have to worry about not being handsomely compensated etc....not that they would need it of course.
I think right now the fans are united in their contempt for this plan. As a Spurs fan of some 60 years I want them kicked out of all domestic competition and the PL if they do not backtrack on this. I want to see the 6 sent to Coventry. I am not alone in saying I will find a proper football club to support if they take Spurs down this route. I would think the last thing NUFC want is a Saudi owner, the fans should press now for 51% ownership of their clubs as in Germany. That's why the German clubs will not take part and that's why ticket prices are more realistic.
I'm just hoping that, whatever happens, the gloves come off when pandering to these ****ing arsewipes. Scrap that pathetic UCL plan and pare the competition back. I mean, Perez is somewhat right, it is getting more boring, people are switching off - but that's because everyone is sick to ****ing death of the same clubs appearing week in, week out. It's boring. A European Cup was never boring, the best days of that tournament were back before Barca were this big and when Marseille, Red Star Belgrade and the like were capable of winning it. That was proper excitement. The whole things just broken - I mean, FIFA want to make their "World Club Cup" more of a thing - by, what, inviting more second placed teams into it? Do these ****ing idiots never learn? There should be one elite contest involving every champion club across Europe, then a league thing for the rest. It is not UEFA or FIFA's job to sort out the ****ing financial clusterfucks these clubs have become. Why aren't they reviewing FFP? Tottenham Hotspur are sat here today with nearly £600m of debt, and are STILL buying players and playing CL football - it's ****ing mental and beyond any understanding. They want to spin up more money, so they can do what exactly? Get in more debt? Get out of debt? It's not footballs fault Levy's a **** owner. It's not football's fault the Glazers are hideous people. Speaking of such, where is the O&D test now> Surely conniving to break away from a Premier League means you ****ing fail that test? How are they not immediately expelled, given they have broken some fundamental PL and FA rules?? It's mind-blowing how **** this has all got, and it all started with UEFA and the Champions League, yet they're the ones crying saying "it's not fair". I mean, these idiots launched a new UCL format to pander to clubs who pulled out of their competition the day before. How utterly, mind-meltingly stupid can anyone be? FIFA, the dodgiest, corrupt ****ers who are continually under criminal investigation - who the **** at FIFA gets to say anything?? It's all absolutely ****ed and the entitled, woke snowflakes who make up the "fans of tomorrow" hate ALL of this. This abuse of capitalism, the theft of money to the benefit of a few, is EXACTLY what new fans despise. I'm astonished and flabbergasted by the complete lack of intelligence on display. It's incredible.
It's pretty depressing when you go on twitter and see every thread riddled with Americans saying it's a good idea and rest in peace premier league, get the other clubs off my screen.
De Marco has effectively ruled himself out of accepting instructions from anyone involved in the ESL dispute.
As these slimey twats pull out one by one their reputation is tarnished beyond repair. masters now needs to pass our takeover to these ****s have another slap down.
Erm. Is anything actually happening with this? So many clubs - Leeds, Sheff Weds, Wigan, Pompey, etc., etc., had hefty points punishments for breaching rules. Every one of these Greedy6 clubs has committed a far more heinous crime, yet I get the distinct impression it's going to be a few apologies then business as usual, until they reset and try it again. WTF is this "sport" about anyway?
