what a boring scenario this super league would be, same round robin of games, players would be sick to death of the sight of each other, it is going to be just for armchair fans in asia etc as witnessed on you tube yesterday of a chinese supporter of ac milan saying it would be great seeing all the top sides all the time!!
    easily pleased then matey....same old,same old......boringgggggggggggggg

Good result last night, I'm not gonna complain about anyone's performance. Plenty of questions about this new "super league". If it goes ahead do the 6 get kicked out of the PL? What happens to the fans of these clubs, many say they wouldn't support them again? Leeds are currently 4th in the league without these 6 so we'd be in the CL if we stay there. **** them out I say!

16 fecking years I've waited for us to get back to the top division and can't go and watch. Now the others don't want to play with us.
Rather foolishly, we have shown the "Big 6" too soon we will shortly be competing with them so they are taking their ball and running away - how Leeds is that?

So, this European Soppy League is all about cash. They all get whopping wads of cash and then compete with each other for the same players and give them and their agents the majority of it, genius <doh> Let's hope one of the dopey owners realise that they can make really enormous bucks out of this if they are smart. Play in a League where you get £ 300M each season and can't get relegated, seems so obvious to me, sell all your best players to the other tools and replace them with freebies who are happy to play for £ 40 a week and a new pair of boots each season, 15 stone Bob from the Building Site is making his debut as the new Arsenal Centre Forward, brilliant, the owners can pay themselves enormous dividends and can't ever lose! Champagne all round for coming bottom of the league with a minus 300 goal difference and do it all again next year.

I actually think football in this country has a chance here but the PL need to have big balls - kick them out and mean it. Sort out a package with Sky and even out the disparity. Last season I believe Narwich earned about £ 98 Million more than us for effectively finishing one place above, crackers that. Even though we are in the top division I would be really happy with a much closer split between the divisions and make footie competitive again, wouldn't it be great to see something like an Everton v West Ham (purely an example and would obviously look a lot better with us in it) FA Cup Final played at Wembley at 3 O'Clock on a Saturday where you could be bothered to watch because you don't have to remember which combination of Man City, Chelsea, Manure or Liverpool it was last year or the year before? Maybe teams like Leeds would even play their best team in Round 3 because they have a realistic chance of winning a trophy that means more than money.

As someone else said ^^^^ what players really want to play in the Soppy League for anything other than cash and fans of those teams need to be careful what they wish for, more likely to be watching their team against Barcelona in Beijing than Spain the way things are going. WACCOE

Someone posted a like to the Stan Kroenk baseball team and how it hardly ever wins a game. These owners are not bothered as they make the same amount of cash win, lose or draw. No incentive to improve your squad because that will cost money which means less profit. It would also mean increasing wages so why would they do that. They introduce a wage cap and bring in the cheapest players quids in

To be honest, I couldn't give a **** if it happened so long as the PL kick the greedy bastards out of all domestic football, there's still plenty of big clubs in the top two leagues with great fan bases and traditions, it would give them more chance of winning trophies without spending zillions buying them. ****'em

I've been reading about MLS on Wikipedia.
What the Yanks don't get is summed up in one comment. The league folded two Florida teams due to poor attendance and low ticket sales. They were formed as expansion clubs.
It does beg the question of why they're bothering to hijack existing clubs. Why not just create Manchester Moneygrabbers, London Stealers, Barcelona Robbers and Madrid ****ers?
Obviously they can't use my names but if they just set them teams, and more, up they could just buy up all the players.

This is the thin end of the wedge,
Next in order to have more teams they will invite, say a chinese team an american team etc,
Games will played in china, dubai the states or wherever,
4 quarters instead of 2 halves, more adverts,
    Drinks breaks, more adverts,
    Time outs, more adverts.
And a superbowlesque end of season finale.
**** them, let them go, I'd rather play millwall, barnsley or stoke etc.

    Beren Cross comments on Joffy

The England Under-18s international has impressed for Leeds’ youth side this season, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in 16 Premier League 2 appearances, and his performances have clearly made a big impression on Cross.

He said: “I think it remains, It’s very opportunistic. I think as we saw with Gelhardt, I think that was very much, unfortunately for Wigan, a case of Wigan were in administration, and they had to take what they could get.

“And as I’m sure we’ll find out in the years ahead, Gelhardt may well be the best bit businesses the club has done in the last 20 years, if not ever, because he just looks absolutely outrageous, very, very good player. So, I think I think they will have irons in the fire. I mean, the beauty of the under-23’s is that they’re not expensive.”

    TIF Thoughts on Gelhardt…

With the likes of Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo ahead of Gelhardt in the Leeds pecking order, the teenager may find it hard to break into the first team next season, but the future certainly looks bright.

How many NFL clubs dont play in their own city or State. Sure there are clubs that move the franchise to a cheaper State and still call themselves Miami Dolphins or whatever but now based in Las Vegas. So not long before Manchester Utd are based in Taiwan or Man City back in Abu Dahbi,. The location and the fanbase means nothing to these twats

I hope you’re right because this is an abomination but I doubt any contract is that specific and I would have thought that would have been one of the first things the clubs lawyers would have looked at. The players are employee’s of the clubs not football governing bodies.

If Llorente hadn’t scored with his header the press would have scored everyone down by at least one point, it’s always the same. Struijk was better than Llorente yesterday, Llorente made a few errors, he was guilty of a few things that could have lead to goals. Phillips was average yesterday but still better than Costa, Bamford, Roberts and Harrison because he did his job okay. Bamford missed two great chances and hit the crossbar with a more difficult effort, Bamford and Roberts cost us three points
