Norwich were able to celebrate promotion before they even played on Saturday, as draws for Brentford and Swansea City made them uncatchable in the top two.

Daniel Farke's side then went on to lose 3-1 against Bournemouth in the evening – their first defeat in 14 games and the first time they had been beaten at Carrow Road since October.

Therefore they will be eager to prove that they are not in party mode just yet and make the title safe against a Watford side that currently trail them by eight points.

If the trophy does not come on Tuesday, Norwich have games against Queens Park Rangers, Reading and Barnsley left on their fixture list.

Watford are one of just five teams to beat the Canaries in the Championship this season, as Ismaila Sarr's goal secured a 1-0 win for the Hornets on Boxing Day in Xisco Munoz's first game in charge.

Munoz has gone on to win 15 out of 22 matches at the helm so far, taking Watford from playoff hopefuls to automatic promotion contenders.

They need eight more points to confirm their return to the Premier League, but their final two games see them face fourth-placed Brentford and third-placed Swansea City.

Therefore a surprise 1-0 defeat to Luton Town on Saturday, in which Kiko Femenia was sent off, was a far from ideal but Watford were deservedly beaten by the Hatters.

It was a first loss in nine games for the Hornets, who have been almost unstoppable since switching to a 4-3-3 system in February.

Watford are the Championship's best defensive side with just 28 goals conceded but away from home no top six side has picked up fewer points; the Hornets have also netted just 18 goals from their 21 matches on the road.

    Team News

Both sides will be forced into changes as Norwich had Dimitris Giannoulis sent off after 17 minutes of their game against Bournemouth. Watford also had Kiko Femenia sent off in the closing minutes against Luton when he picked up a 2nd yellow card.
Nathaniel Chalobah will hope to return after failing a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's game, while Adam Masina was taken ill in the warmup at Kenilworth Road so will need to be assessed.

Be classic Watford to go and win this after the poor showing on Saturday.

    Thanks for the thread OFH.

Another massive game as we try to cement second place. I'd happily take a win here, that'd be huge and a bounce back from Saturday's debacle.

Brentford v Cardiff & Swansea v QPR tomorrow too.

Wednesday (not the Sheffield but the day) brings Millwall v Muff & Huddersfield v Barnsley.

We can but hope. Pukki and Cantwell in particular would be a huge loss for them.

Fitness test for Masina and Ngakia.

Hopefully one of them will be fit and Chalobah.

If Masina and Ngakia are out and Femina suspended we are a bit short of full backs! Lazaar at LB is a bit dodgy me thinks as it is.

Who'd play RB with Feminia and Ngakia out? Cathcart? Navarro?

If Navarro is RB and Lazaar LB we are in danger from the off I fear.

Play a back 3 with Ekong,Siarealta and Willmot

Semma and Sarr as wing backs

Chalabah, Hughes and Zinc or Cleverly in midfield

Success and Gray as front two

Pedro to get a rest on the bench

In reality it would a 4 3 3 but might confuse Norwich for long enough to grad an early lead

Have a feeling this is going to be close. My half crown is on a draw.

I'd take that - it would probably stress out Bournemouth, Brentford and Swansea.

But a win would be better if you're feeling generous...

I am expecting nothing from this game, but just hoping that those players that did not get going on Saturday, have word with themselves, and put in a performance that they expect from themselves and is expected by our fans?

Gone for Cathcart at right back.

Guess it’s a decent defensive option.

    Chalobah not 100% fit ?

Norwich with a strong side out.

I think it's what's called the 'when needs must' option - no Kiko or Ngakia.

Hopefully that will help us get Sarr into the game!

    Evening all
Watching on Sky Now but I guess there will be streams on Mamahd if you look.
Hopefully a good open game but difficult to call I guess, team looks solid and hopefully the wingers will get some space unlike at Luton.
    Enjoy the game everyone.
