And getting De Niro to do his adverts was a master stroke. Twatford have us, Brentford and Swansea to play, so it's anything but cut and dried.

I had a burd once who pretended she was of genuine East End heritage and insisted on pronouncing them beigels instead of the more widely used bagels. I once went to a family gathering where her uncle bought the real deal ones from Brick Lane. We had them with ham which isn't exactly the most authentic way to eat them if you are a Red Sea pedestrian.

It was the same burd who lost the plot when I said the pasties you get in the train station tasted better than the "award winning and authentic" Cornish pasties we had on holiday. The look she gave me! You'd have thought I had just suggested double-teaming her mum with Saddam Hussein.

IF Watford fail to win tonight and Swansea win they are only 3 points behind .
Watford play Brentford and Swansea the last 2 games so could slip into 3rd .

I think Norwich still have QPR to play.

We will gift you the points. If you need to beat us to guarantee the Championship we will oblige. If you need to beat us to achieve a record number of points we will oblige. If you need to beat us to record the most number of wins in a single season we will oblige. Same if you need to win to stay up, QPR are such a generous bunch we will always be happy to help out.

At least this season we won't have the embarrassment of having to host the Championship winner's on-field celebrations after they have caned us. We get spanked for 90 minutes and then have to roll out the red carpet so that Team X can celebrate promotion in front of their fans. Usually a decent amount of the R's crowd hangs on to clap along because we are nice like that.

We are the football equivalent of the skinny white guy sat on the end of the bed watching as some enormously hung Mandingo bull relentlessly pumps our wife.

A bit like what Michael Madsen does to the veterinary doctor's wife in the film from the mid 90s, The Getaway?

You are correct as far as 99% of the world is concerned but the Jews and wannabe Eastenders don't say bay-gels but rather buy-gels.

Needless to say the relationship didn't last that long but I would comment she had the biggest set of tay-tays I've ever had my hands on. Even bigger than my own if you can believe such a thing.

To Save the U.K. Give Scottish Nationalists the Canada Treatment
Take it from a Scot abroad: We don't need another referendum.

If the Scots were taught their own history better, they might also be less attracted by the idea of independence. For the country’s experience prior to the Union was hardly one of unalloyed happiness. To read the historical novels of Walter Scott — notably “Waverley” (1814), “Old Mortality” (1816), “Rob Roy” (1817), “A Legend of Montrose” (1819) and “The Abbot” (1820) — is to be reminded vividly that Scotland up until the defeat of the Jacobites at Culloden in 1746 was an exceptionally violent country, characterized by bitter internecine strife between Highlanders and Lowlanders, Catholics and Calvinists, MacDonalds and Campbells.

The miracle of Scottish history is that a country that for centuries so closely resembled Afghanistan in our own time — torn apart by compulsively warring mountain clans and religious fanatics, and subject to recurrent foreign interference — should have transformed itself in the space of a generation into a cradle of the Enlightenment. As Scott observed in the postscript to “Waverley”: “There is no European nation which, within the course of half a century or little more, has undergone so complete a change as this kingdom of Scotland.”
