Floating an idea like this in the middle of a pandemic, with the possibility of Clubs facing financial ruin, i hope this is given short shrift. Football has been losing the support of the common man and woman for a good while now but this could be the final straw. Hate that the Club i've followed for over 50 years is part of this bollocksology !

I don’t understand why ‘the big 6’ English clubs want to be part of a European Super League with the Premiership being one of the most exciting and unpredictable leagues in the world. An example is Chelsea 2 relegation threatened WBA 5 - the wrong result for us but amazing from an entertainment point of view.

Yet another example of greed by the few ruining the game for the majority. A phoney self interested competition with limited appeal. Probable massive disincentives on Clubs and players who sign on, with Governments and Football Unions to blackball both from all other forms of Football.
If this develops much further I expect to see all the Clubs involved disqualified from all other Competitions and all points deducted, leaving the Clubs and players totally isolated . And that's exactly what they deserve. This might well destroy player loyalty within the Clubs involved, and ruin all the good work by managers like Audi, Klopp Pep etc. who have built up Club spirit.
Always been fond of Derby County as my "second" Club, despite my 51 Chelsea years. Maybe I might have to dust off my old Archie Gemmil jersey if this goes ahead. ???

I will stop watching televised football if this takes place. Saddened and shocked by my club for signing up to this abomination. I cannot see this happening because of the uproar that it would create. So sad we have even considered this as an option. It's been said that players in this group would not be allowed to play for their country so it is, and I hope a non starter. Kudos goes to the German and French clubs that were invited but refused. Interesting info from this is German clubs can only have 49% corporate ownership the majority share is owned by the fans. So it was a no from the beginning.

Bloody good idea from Germany, keeping the ownership with the fan base, exactly what is needed in English football. These creeps that have taken over Clubs should all have failed the "proper persons" test. Hope the French and Germans also stop any games by these treacherous Clubs being played or telecast in their countries.
Time for ALL official Fan Clubs worldwide to start a boycott of these Clubs, including all their overpriced Club shirts etc, plus boycott the sponsors who provide any payments to these 12 Clubs. Cut out their incomes and you cut out their hearts and lungs.

I don't subscribe to Sky Sports and haven't for more than 25 years. For me football is going to the Bridge when I can.

Tbh Sky killed proper football already

Here's a couple of questions for everyone.
Will players contracts with the 12 Traitor Clubs be binding for non Officially recognised competition?
ie. if Mount, CHO, Gilmour James , Pulisic, Havertz or any other players with their careers ahead of them can be banned from National Teams, potentially from the PL and /or other European Leagues, can their Club compel them to play in the "Super Money Scooper" League? One game a week seems to have little appeal for a player, and do the 12 think they can continue in the PL, Seria A etc as if nothing has happened ?? Will the UK Teams drop out of the FA and Carabao ???
Then there's the Managers. Klopp is already against it, Spurs are Managerless, Koeman and Tuchel just getting going, will they want to be just a novelty Manager??
Will involved players who are simply against the whole idea be allowed to cancel their contracts ? Indeed will other Clubs be allowed to sign players from the 12 who are likely to be already banned from the mainstream ??

It will not happen, well at least not just yet. They are testing the water for an attempt later. This is an American driven thing by RM and Man U to try and push a US style model like American football on the essentially, fans game, even the government is mobilising its sway to prevent the ESL. Trust me this will not happen in my lifetime. Roman could become a hero if he withdrew his signature and that is all it would take. Just one of the 6 to retract their support and this will come tumbling down. Step up Mr Abramovic, do the right thing. Oh and Rumour has it Jose was sacked for refusing to take his players training under the said proposal that his employer had signed up to. if true Kudos.

Got to say I have a soft spot for Jose, despite all his carrying on, he did great with us, and he's got so much of other peoples money in his bank, he can pretty much adopt a "take it or leave it" approach to life. Another couple of Million heading his way from the awful Levy, can't be all bad !!!!

Can’t think of anything more meaningless than this ill thought out plastic competition sponsored by people who have no appreciation of the passions and traditions that surround the ‘people’s game’. No relegation....just an insurance for mediocrity; If this lunacy becomes reality it’ll be a case of thanks for the last 52 years but I’m done.

Embarrassing to have even attempted it, but nice to be the first to pull out.
