Never been a "Massive" fan but tonight I'd wouldn't be too upset if they put one over Liverpool tonight if only for the sole reason of stopping Liverpool jumping up to 4th in the league..........

It would be quite telling that the allegedly "Big 6" occupy 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th & 9th in the table..........
Klopp has already said that he likes the idea that West Ham can get into the CL ahead of Liverpool - he doesn't want them to but likes that it’s possible.....

I really think this will happen. We are talking ruthless business here and the legalities of it all will be profound. The EPL have a very diluted product if they take a hard line stance but what I can see here is teams having an ESL squad and a EPL squad. You can kiss goodbye to the League Cup and probably the FA Cup as well.

This is the front of those Leeds T-Shirts...

I’ve been weighing it all up, and after looking at various points made, I’ve come to the conclusion.... **** em.

it’ll end up as a Harlem globetrotter league the majority of European fans won’t give a **** about

A thought - if Klopp is so against this, will he resign from Liverpool?
Could be an interesting ride for the scousers...and will he fall on his sword

So the team's want to play in their own domestic Leagues..but also.play in their new superleague.

If this goes ahead undiluted...does this means ...that the top non big 6 clubs ...would play in the uefa champions League. So for example this year...Leicester, Spam, Everton, Leeds .
Nearly everyone would be playing midweek European football.

And they would be playing the same time that the big 6 are playing there silly matches.

TV football would be saturated, and I can see the bottom falling out of the market pretty quickly.

The managers are already complaining of overcrowded fixture lists....over tired injured players.

I can only see this as that these clubs see this European Stupid League as instead of PL, Serie A etc.
They say that their players shall play less games, but that would not be possible in the 20 team ESL that they are suggesting. Even if they do not play in the CL and domestic cups they would still be playing about the same amount of games. More if they were not in the CL or get knocked out early in any of the three..
I think they want to break away. Imagine, in their greed infected minds, how they could then fill up the free time with games against top teams in South America, Asia and even the USA? Money, money, money ...

So Spurs are nearly a billion in debt and we are still suffering from FFP punishments

Of course they do. They want to piggy back on their domestic leagues and take that money while setting up a total breakaway. They knew they would get all this vitriol and are waiting for the dust to settle and people to talk about deals and agreement to allow ‘something’ to give. Then it will be on to a next step of breakaway once the format has been proven - and if it fails, just let it fall-back while they get back to their domestic league and dust their losses under the carpet.
They should be forced to give it up or just break away - then we’ll see how the fans react; without the support of viewers/fans there won’t be the advertising revenues and TV money they are banking on.

Interesting comments on windfall taxes, policing costs etc. from government. Will be interesting to see what the outcome is from the rest of the EPL teams discussions today. Leeds made their view clear and out there. Will the rest of the league stand up or wilt back dreaming of the possibility of being humbled by any possible invite by the greedy dozen to play in their back yard?

Assuming the Champions League can / will continue if a Super League is set up...

I’m looking forward to a PL implosion and reverting to Divisions One to Four (unlikely, I know). Apparently this is a similar situation to the Australian Rugby League/Super League war in the 90s when they ran simultaneously for a year before reaching an agreement and recombining.
