It's weird that SNP English hating Old firm supporters don't want anything to do with the English but moan about not being part of the English Premier league.

This super league is just a play to get control of the champions league from UEFA

I cant understand why Arsenal and the Spuds are included, they are small clubs and City are a small club with no fans

I have to say that I am sceptical about this actually happening. Rumours of a Super League with all the big clubs have been floated before and come to nothing. It is noticeable that the big clubs that do not have a moneybags billionaire owner like Bayern Munich will only be invited to hang around. The conspiracy theorists are already claiming Mourinho was sacked by Spurs for speaking out.

The REAL football supporters could easy put a stop to it by voting with their feet and their money. Stop buying the replica kit and the other club paraphernalia, stop buying season tickets and leave the stadia empty. Okay, so Old Trafford would still be full of Japanese but they probably know nothing of Matt Busby:

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez said the decision to create the new league, which his club would be a part of, was in part taken because "young people are no longer interested" in the game.

He told a Spanish TV show: "Audiences are decreasing and rights are decreasing and something had to be done. We are all ruined. Television has to change so we can adapt."

It is no great surprise that Real Madrid want to join a super league when you look at clubs like Eibar with a ground holding 8000 or Huesca with a ground capacity of 7000. Who wants to play minnows every other week when you could play against teams in 60-100,000 seater stadiums (stadia?) and coin it in with TV rights? Looks like the backlash has shocked many of those who were in favour of this ultra-league. Can't see it happening but as ER says "stranger things happen at sea" although to be fair this is from the same bloke who says "nurse? Is it time for my soup?"

Won't the Spanish government just write that off? Shameful how state interference has been tolerated for so long.

There will be ****ing uproar if that happens and rightly so.

Spain is in a horrendous position economically.

Oh and by the by it's "worse things happen at sea" If you must quote me at least have the courtesy to quote me correctly.
