They'd need a shorter name for it before they signed up.

Maybe they are actually advisors to the ESL?
They did say ‘fans are irrelevant’ and ‘we are emotionally detached from them’ (supporters).
And it appears these are the foundations upon which ESL will be built.

I think the best punishment for these clubs, would be to strip them off their FA Cup titles and award them to the runners up.

Congrats to Leicester for winning the FA Cup and PSG for winning the Champions League. Leicester could even do the double if they beat West Ham to the title.

Do you think that punishment only gets at the fans, the people who are the club through and through.
I’m not sure the the glazers etc would give a **** about historic FA cup titles in favour of the money

    just my opinion of course

Not sure if this violates the 'no politics' rule but the Culture Secretary is reported to be making a speech at 5pm in the Commons about possible government intervention regarding the Super League. They might even explore a German-style 51% fan ownership rule and an independent regulatory body for the PL and EFL.

The 12 clubs involved are reported to send letters of notice to FIFA and UEFA declaring they will make legal challenges if they are punished by the governing bodies i.e. expulsion.

Don't see how the big six have a case when they've broken PL rules.

The managers and players will stay tight lipped which is understandable.
If I was a player I'd hate if I couldn't play for my country again.

Apparently, long standing fans are referred to as "legacy supporters" by clubs.

Worth no more than others from around the globe.

Dr Allam wanted more fans from these places.... Wonder if his "best run club" fits the Big 6 criteria....?

Yes it's the same 51% rule here in Sweden. It's a much better system for the game as a whole IMHO even if it means a few clubs not attracting mega rich owners.

Apparently Mourinho has been sacked for downing tools over the ESL.

Wonder why Sky/BT are so upset ,is it not because football and its fans have been stabbed in the back, but because when it come's to t.v rights Amazon will blow them out of the water, whatever happens with these greedy bastards of clubs, just the thought of a super league is a kick in the teeth for the grassroot fan, we are being slowly but surely being driven out of the game we love, by faceless people who hardly go near a football ground, just driven by pure greed.

The national TV companies will not be able to compete with Amazon maybe Apple tv and Netfix in the future .
Look at the ridiculous money BT are paying for European football.

Things will probably change in the future, but at the moment, Amazon are a small player when it comes to football rights, Sky and BT are at a completely different level.

The reality is, having watched Chelski vs Man Citeh, the game isn't that entertaining any more.

Sideways and backwards for 90% of the match, diving and rolling.....

Is it the beautiful game any longer?

I’m not bothered if they go.

I know football will have a rocky time financially if they do, but I can only see this levelling the playing field when it comes to competition in England.

At least until the next big 6 are created. West Ham, Leicester, Everton, Wolves probably next on the list.

I’m surprised all the million Wednesday fans aren’t in a state of shock they aren’t included.
