Johnson has almost gone down the Parkinson road now. Saying, well we're playing a very good side today, ****e like that.
Having only one way to attack, get the ball wide and put a cross into Wyke. The reason it looks slightly better is we have Mcgeady in the team now so the quality is a bit better.
When he first came in we were moving the ball quicker with more attacking intent, getting more bodies in the box, that's slowly dwindled.
Saying Maguire is blocking the pathway for likes of Diamond to break through, there's only a handful of games left ffs, get him on the pitch.
Honestly not arsed if hes here next season or not.

Not sure what's going on Gordon, but I dont envy your job at all mate, keep up the good work you and Marcus do in keeping this board ticking over, as with the team, (that one on the field) there is not much wrong really and it would be my advice to everyone to stop digging, and see how it goes.
Mind you I am a bit of a stirrer myself so I will shut up in case I get banned. <peacedove>

Exactly I think a big problem is the lack of any alternative to the McGeady/Wyke plan A In the first half at Blackpool and in recent games Wyke has reverted to type, peeling off behind defenders instead of getting across them, he had enough crosses to try this but not once did he make the effort, in the second half I think McGeady was frustrated even though he almost made the breakthrough, but was clearly exhausted after 60 minutes, yet again like Wyke he was left on for the full 90 , In an interview LJ said he always leaves McGeady on as there is the chance that he can win the game with a flash of brilliance, this is so, but I believe that both players are begging to feel the strain of a very hard run in. This could be fatal if we make the play-offs, history repeating itself. I am no fan of Maguire but putting him on at Blackpool for the last 20 mins behind Stewart, and leaving Jones on, along with Diamond would have benefitted everyone on the day and who knows may have been the way out of a looming scenario .

That was 24 years ago mate. I know things are much different now to that which Wilkinson oversaw.

I will personally vouch for the quality of FA courses and coach learning pathways. They are the envy of many historically technically better footballing nations.

I dont actually believe the manager alone makes the choice about when to promote a younger age player to the first team. That is a group of people. It is a massive step up from the u23s. That is where we miss reserve football as that was a much better pathway for young players to the first team.
