All I know is that I know a footballer when I see one, and their are not many in our first team at present . Sadder still is that a few may be hindering the progress of some very promising players currently in our U23 team. Remembering that not to long ago Danny Graham occupied a place on our bench supported by professional coaches proves that their yardsticks can be seriously questioned. And this psuedoscience beloved of our current set up is no substitute for luck and good judgement.

yet most of what he has said has been correct, which anyone checking back can see, you only have to read the last two match threads to see they are filled with negative comments, so why are his comment so offencive to you, if you did care to ask him why he had that view about that game with a few posters have done, you will find a reasonable answer. Why do you feel the need to single out this poster if you don't like his posts move on, because i see no derailing only in your head

Honestly Rog I think the current players in the first team squad are giving 100 % its just that bit of quality is missing, we have weak links in every department, even though alternatives are available they are not considered and this has gone on so long that it is now too late to do much about it. This winning ugly mantra has proved to be nothing more than false hope, by people that should know better..

I have a very high opinion of your footy talk, i can only go as i see or feel, you open my eyes to so much more i miss, like yourself Nads has some great insight into the matches, so i'm inclined to listen more of what you two have as opinions, Norton Samwise Sheepman are also way up there along with a good few others, and give this board a well grounded insight which normally covers all angles

Negative maybe, but nasty, no, I have yet to read anything personal or nasty in his threads, even though he has had to put up with some relentless and engineered attacks, that were derailing threads, that should have been more respected, by both sides.

I don't consider his posts to be nasty at all, Clocky . . . . I only used the term to quote him ('cos he used that term):emoticon-0148-yes:

Some don't want to 'move on' even when they say that they will, because they are determined to do their bit to make things worse, unfortunately !

just because you don't like someone you don't have to single them out for criticism, when posters on this thread have criticised the team a lot harder, yet you said nothing to them only him, stop being vindictive, he is a member of this board and is entitled and allowed to contribute as a number of our posters have already said and disagreed with you

your words I don't know, but he might mean that his negative comments will become even more negative, and nasty, which will give him more excuse to try to derail threads and spread that negativity :emoticon-0112-wonde post23

guilty because Gordon thinks you may be , it's you who wont leave it you are attacking him for joining in conversation and even had posters here telling you to leave him if he was being a nuisance someone would report him we don't need the Gestapo accusing, point to where he has disrupted this thread to cause your NASTY comments. God he doesn't even answer you back because your a mod looking to ban him, just because your butt hurt let it go man

its you who is derailing threads with your hatred grow up

There is nothing sadder though than seeing a youth team superstar flounder at senior level because he's been allowed to make the jump too soon. That can wreck a whole career.
What makes a good player is very subjective. You often see players that one manager rates highly and another doesn't rate at all. The data analysis that the club are employing, which really isn't a pseudoscience -the FA run courses and most clubs, even as far down as Step 5, use it to some extent- is intended to provide a more objective view of players. Therefore, it eliminates that element of luck. Though I agree its a very cold way of looking at things.

    Not for me.
He's hardly improved Mansfield mind. Despite them having, on paper, a very good league two squad.

Four months after leaving Leeds, in January 1997, Wilkinson was hired by the sport's governing body in England, the Football Association, to act as its Technical Director, overseeing coaching and other training programmes at all levels of the game. Under him the FA began the National Football Centre project.

    Need I say more.
