Wyle is putting himself about alright, but he can't score every game. If we had a genuine option , maybe a rest might help him. But he's scored nearly thirty goals, and we are not that high scoring a team. So far, I've not seen anything in Stewart that says he should start before Wyke.
Can't see passed a home win. We have gone from being strong at the back and potent up front to leaking goals and being toothless in attack As much as I've criticised the manager for needless tinkering, I think he needs to make some changes tomorrow and rest some of the "bigger" names I'd go Burge Younger Wright O'Nien Diamond Winchester Power Neill Hume Stewart Gooch
I am always optimistic but Saturday crushed me, think we will get stuffed 3-0. Its the constant tinkering thats pissing me off, I know we have had no luck with defensive injuries but the midfield is never settled, Johnson needs to take a long hard look at himself. He clearly doesnt know his best team yet and thats not good enough, we all have it in our heads who we would play every week ( if fit ) surely he should by now. Acting like League 1s Pep is ridiculous, we arent good enough to keep making changes, he must play his strongest 11 available every game.
He is a decent footballer imo, and will only improve given game time, but not as yet another crutch for Wyke, who despight the whole team being built around him has only one goal on the last seven games, and we have slumped alarmingly. This situation has been coming because of lack of foresight, and we have walked blindly into it, only one man to blame as far as I can see, and he needs to walk the walk now, or he may be given little alternative.
I'm going with the bookies on this game, 2-1 home win... Tomorrow morning I'll be back on with Hhaaawwwwwaaaaaayyyyyyyy the Lad's and a 2-1 away win
Every team goes through a run of bad results, look at Liverpool the Premiership champions, they suddenly were playing like relegation certainties. Its how quickly we can bounce back from this bad run and I'm going with tomorrow night. We will win 1-2.
8-0 Sunderland, and we’ll win all our games in the run in while they’re that deflated they end up in the play offs.
The pressure is on Hull from now on, they need 6 points to go up automatically with 12 available ( 9 of those points against teams in the top 6 ) they’ll be seeing their remaining games as mustn’t loose rather than must win and that defensive approach might play into our hands. Our players and manager are saying it looks like play-offs now so pressure is off us and maybe we’ll go there more relaxed a get the win. With my glass half full, I’m going with a 0-1 win for the lads. RTB KTF
I will take Sunderland with a three goal start - how much would you let me put on ? I await your reply with interest !
We've got to stop the rot and quickly. We are not expected to beat them, so the pressure is off in that respect. They will be wanting to get the job done and confirm promotion, and that could be their undoing. Having said that, I think we'll draw 1-1. These threads are gaining notoriety, even among opposition fans, i see. Great stuff RTB!
