I say go even further and expel them from the football league right now - before the end of the season so they won’t get any trophies or European place. No pussying around waiting for THEM to announce their decision. Kick them out before they have had time to prepare.
    Take the initiative ffs.
    Good fking riddance.

    Won't happen as currently reported.

Just an opening gambit for forthcoming negotiations.

If they go, they should NEVER be allowed back, simple as. But the PL won't do that as they are too weak.

Mourinho won’t be in it now.

But I agree with RP, it’s a power play to get more money to them in their leagues

The premier league are to blame, they created the monster and now the monster is coming back to bite them on the arse. If they couldn't see this as an obvious progression from what they created, then maybe we have found a group of people more incompetent than those who currently run BCFC.

    It could be their downfall.
If the Football League turn around and expel them before they have anything sorted out, it would serve as a warning to any other club thinking they are above the rules of the FA - and then if this European thingy doesn't get going VERY quickly they simply won't have any income whatsoever.
    Let's hope this happens.
Even (most of) their own fans are p!55ed off with this.

Those teams that are still in Champions league that want in, should be booted IMO.......It's all about multi billionaire owners.......

Perhaps if these supposed super teams started looking at the ridiculous salaries they pay out then they wouldn't need to go looking for a bigger pot under that rainbow. We all know that football has gone mad and I might suggest that the government tell these separatists that they will be subject to considerably higher taxes based on new legislation brought in to save the game from foreign domination. Whatever happened to due diligence when it came to overseas ownership when we allow Russian oligarchs and Arab no-gooders to not only take over our game but also infiltrate their suspect money throughout British society? A full forensic review on all of these overseas owners needs to be opened up and I would bet that their contribution to the tax fund in England is pretty close to zero. Once again a critical situation has been created by the authorities looking the other way when it came to the crunch and now the break up of what was uniquely English looks like it is about to be shattered by people who probably should never been allowed to invest in the system at any point.

Unfortunately you get what you will allow and if the government doesn't kick back on this then the foreign invasion and destruction will continue onward and downward. The problem is that the apathy shown in the first place will likely continue.

15 guaranteed 22 years and 5 to rotate in a league of 20...…………… so you get to play for a year? how to determine the 5 ..... England Italy and Spain SO FAR add France and Germany [ LIKELY NEED 2 TEAMS EACH ] so who is/ might be the sixth country?
20 TEAMS = 38 games and still want to play in own domestic leagues! that's 76 games plus potentially 7 or 8 cup games … I think covid has a lot to answer for, the latest, [soccer] strain affects the brain tissue and ability think logically?

I agree with Simon Jordon to a point. (Talk sport).....players fees and earnings are out of control, clubs are forced to look for alternative incomes to afford them at that level...gate receipts just about pays for their laces. Also these super rich owners think each fixture elite v elite will bring in maximum revenue.....it's a catch 22 and the domestic game we grew up and loved has become out of control through greed from owners and players alike..

    There is a simple solution
Permanently expel all 12 clubs from their respective divisions
Let them play their silly league with the games not being televised, no prize money, and the clubs having to pay their own travel and hospitality costs.
Promote the top 9 teams from the Championship and do so all the way down to the National League.
