Can everyone please make their way, in an orderly fashion, to the pessimistic matchday thread. Thank you.

We should have got something from that game - certainly didn't deserve to lose it.

I would like to thank Hull City, Newcastle and Blackpool/Sunderland for ruining my Saturday.

You know what though, I don't hold grudges, so I'll be back on Tuesday. We need to find form at the right time for the play offs......if we make them <whistle>

We need a maximum of 10 points to secure our play off place, although more than likely 6-7 will be enough, depending on how Charlton do.

Get those points - rest them - then regroup for the play offs. By the sounds of it, we were unlucky today. Accrington, Wimbledon and Northampton still to play. On today's showing, Blackpool weren't that good either. So only Hull to get out of the way.

The last 2 weeks have been a complete pisser!

    2 x conspiracy theories.
No1. I said when we gave Diamond a contract it would cause bother.
No2. KLD happy to stay in this league for another season and the players have realised they are all out on their arses.

I find it hard to believe we were on the run we were and we have bottled it. Too many experienced players there.

Happy to be shot down if I am talking b*llocks and somebody can come up with another reason.

Totally mirrors Jack Ross' Season. A good draw away to a main promotion rival (0-0 Barnsley / 1-1 Peterborough) Its clearly in our hands, favourites for promotion etc etc. Wallop. Sunderlanditis kicks in. Pleased it doesn't hurt me as much as it used to. Par for the course really. I hoped if we didn't get auto promotion it would be down to our rivals getting a point or two more than us. Not this way. The worry is now, will this form carry on to next season, as it did under Ross, which cost him his job?

Feel a bit deflated now I have to say. We are going to need a find a way to stop this run. Probably a bit unlucky to lose today but that sort of thing can happen and it is how you react when it does.

One thing I would say is that Blackpool were not frightening at all, and it wouldnt be that terrifying to play them in the play offs.

Time for me to go down the garden, get some sun, and pour a cheeky home brew when no one is watching.

One good thing is they won't be overpaid mate. Most of them are out of contract and won't get a similar deal.

Infact, most of them will get what they deserve..... to be shown the ****in door!

The good thing is that it won't continue with the bunch of players we have now. We might have a **** team, but we've finally got a good owner. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Not sure why I even bother responding to you but...

    1. "garbage this our season is finished now"
No - we still have 5 games to play

    2. "this is worse than 2 seasons ago"
No - If we get to the play-offs it is not worse

    3. "i wish this season was finished"
So you are contradicting your first statement

    4. "the frigging play offs only drag it longer"
So you would rather have us finish outside the play-offs

    5. pathetic
    Enough said

ok... trying to be fair and honest here...

a MUCH better performance, we passed the ball around and they could not handle it.

burge, somehow seemed to either 'lose' the ball or saw it late...dont want to hit him with 'another burge feck up' when no one even knew who got the final touch but it did look from the view we all got that he could have stopped it.

if i am looking for the weakest part of the team today it would be that final ball, scowen and ledbitter had the middle of the park to themselves, our ram-shackle defence held well, the forwards put themselves about and fought for everything, there was a good mix of urgency and patient play.

for some unknown reason we have fallen back to those dark days where we struggle to create any goal scoring chances (take mcgeadys shot out of it) our crossing was mainly weak and through balls went straight to a blackpool player, mcfadz should have been off after two stupid fouls, maybe the ref 'balanced it up' but we have seen worse decisions.

unfortunately, we now have lincoln breathing down our necks after getting away from them, blackpool are only 3 points behind and even pompey closing in again...if charlton put a wee run together we could even miss the play offs at this rate...@smug has tried to keep us all positive with his 'forget typical sunderland as this time it is different' but even he would have to admit that these past three games have been as typical as it gets, in our hands, games in hand, unbeaten run...then, cannot hit a cows arse with a banjo!!
