What you post on a message board and how you actually support a team when you are in attendance at the ground are 2 completely different things. I'm far more negative/realistic here than I am at the ground
Time to stop bickering. 5 games left, ours to loose. Best thing to happen for this side right now is the fans to stop dickswinging.
I think some are being a bit unfair on Tom Eaves. Yes, he is a league one player, and has proved in the past, he can score at this level. With us, he has not for the most part had a run of games which players need to get the best out of them. Regan Slater is a good example, when he came on for the last 30 minutes in games you saw nothing to suggest he can do an adequate job, but give him a run in the side and he has done well. Secondly, McCann isn't playing the formation Eaves will thrive on, he is not a lone striker type, he needs to have a partner alongside him. It just hasn't worked out for him here, and I would expect he will go at the end of the season if we are promoted, as he certainly isn't going to feature all that much next year if we do go up.
I really hope we can get the better of Fleetwood today, that would really set things up for the Tuesday game. I wouldn't like to give Sunderland a lift with us losing today.
I have been critical of MaCann, had my doubts and have said so. Too many on here are unforgiving gits. MaCann lost support among the faithful, but he has now proved byind any doubt that he is a very good young coach and he deserves credit for gjvimg us an exciting season.
I’m more nervous about the Fleetwood game than I have been since the start of our recent great run of form. I hope we don’t give Sunderland a chink of light at the end of the tunnel. In saying that I’ve watched a fair bit of Sunderland and Peterborough recently, and on our day we’re absolutely streets ahead of either of them, totally a class apart. Let’s just hope the nerves of the team don’t kick in.
I have to agree, I'm not his biggest fan, but credit where credit is due. My biggest criticism was his apparent inability to change mid-game when plan "A" wasn't working. Dare I say recently he has found a way of making plan "A" work better?
When Saturday comes... The way we are playing and scoring goals at the moment you’d gotta be a manic depressive not to fancy us seeing this out now. Dare to dream...remember. UTT.
Yep I’m unforgiving You don’t get it at work Tom City are **** The ****er fc fan next door when we were going down last season So if it’s ok with you I’ll have a go at Fans in here when they slag the team off constantly City fans don’t get much chance to gloat do they This seasons one of them Cheers
Shades of seasons past under Taylor, win today, Sunderland lose, avoid defeat on Tuesday. Promoted or as good as. Lose last three: Walsall, (gimps),massive fc (wigan), Brentford (charlton). Pipped to the title by Luton (pish). No one gives a monkeys.
I've seen him demonstrate his ability on a few occasions, however 98% of the time he's either offside or simply not up to it! All the best to the lad
I'll forgive him as and when he gets us promoted, and back to square 1. That said, he's clearly got a better playing squad at his disposal, and one which is playing better footie and appear to be together. Relegation was one step backwards, promotion would be two steps forward.
Oh Chazz, I don’t mind you reminding those who always roll out the same crap. As for the fc and kr fans, I don’t watch it but would say I am black and white. My whole family down here support Southampton and I know loads of Arsenal fans. But it’s odd, my Grandson supporters the Saints, but loves watching City, I have just heard that my Granddaughter has a ticket for Wembley!
I'm with that. I just don't get the negativity when we are flying so high. I've enjoyed this season seeing the Liverpool plastics going into meltdown and had so much fun laughing in their faces. Pity the pubs weren't open to have been able to laugh at more. Have confidence in our team, they are playing with a swagger. UTT.
