Apologies for being absolutely raging at that disgraceful display on Tuesday night.

If you look at my posting history I will genuinely congratulate the team when they play well and say unlucky when they’ve been unlucky. However I do tend to get very pissed off when they put in an absolutely cowardly display like the one against Wigan. Do I go over the top? Probably, but only because I want the club to be the best it possibly can be.

Given our woeful recent form and Blackpool’s improvement in recent months I think we will lose this one, hopefully I’m wrong and I’ll hold my hands up if I am and be glad to do so. However I won’t sit here and say we are going to win a game just because it’ll please some anonymous people on the internet.

Don't 100% believe it but might as well go for optimism the alternatives aren't great.

You don’t need to hold your hand up if they win I would like to know why they dished that s hite up in the first place couldn’t care less about people predicting wins and sticking up for them they haven’t seen anything that can make them think that just blind faith like I used to have an abundance of.

I think LJ will have let them know where they stand and will accept nothing less than a win, which is what I'm going for.

Once again RTB a magnificent effort from yourself. Hopefully a magnificent effort from our team will put us right back in the thick of things.

Still p*ssed off with them from Tuesday but cannot go for anything other than a win. I will go for a high scoring 4-3.

Great matchday thread as always - thanks.

Obviously we need a performance now. I would almost go as far to say seeing a performance is more important than a win. Sounds stupid I know but I feel like we need to see the players show they care and that they are embarassed by Tuesday. I want to see maximum commitment and desire. I want to see players taking responsibility on the pitch and leading by example, not standing arms in the air looking at each other. I want to see a team that lools like they believe in each other and trust each other. Do those things and a victory will be in our grasp.

One or two players must be in danger of losing their place in the 11. Power must be worried and I want Leadbitter back in that midfield now to give us some calmness and control. The first half at Posh he and Winchester together were flawless in terms of control, tempo and awareness. Jones is another who must be wondering about his place with Diamond and Gooch both showing more than he did last time. Gooch may be a pick this time to give us more out of possession. Scowen is another who maybe in danger. I like his work rate but in possession we dont get control from him. Winchester may be pushing him for his place. Hume can stay in and continue building his fitness. I really hope Maclaughlin is fit as he makes us much better side. I would also bet we look better at set pieces with him in there.

Lets get behind the lads and if they can play like they are able thats all we can ask. Do that and I fancy us against anyone.

Still not convinced Jones is suited to this formation. He looks like an out and out winger. Maybe O'Brien or Gooch instead (in this formation) and stick to this starting 11 for the next few games.

I agree with all of that mate. There's been a few passengers of late.

We may or may not go up automatically mate, but wins breed confidence and I hope these start tomorrow. At least if we don't go up automatically we'll have a few wins under our belts before the play offs and the players level of self-belief will be high.

Its not far off mate, and its how I expect LJ to go, he may prefer Gooch to Jones not much in them tbh. in fact Gooch edged it against Wigan. As I've stated somewhere else I would like to see Younger involved even if its on the bench as he could be brought on to push O/9 into midfield, Younger is not in the U23,s today so he might be getting considered or more likely with our luck injured.

Younger is a good shout. I was impressed when he played right side and looked a centre half. Maybe now is the time to see what he has for a run of games.

I have been a massive advocate of O'Nien staying at centre back but dont mind admitting I was wrong. He has looked troubled at set pieces particularly, mind you for the first against Wigan he gets out muscled but I have no idea why he, as right back, is having to go 1 on 1 with their big centre forward when it looks to me like Wright and Sanderson are both at fault. Still he was at fault too and time to admit my love affair with him at CB is dwindling a bit.

No surprise at all to see Blackpool favourites here after our shameful ‘performance’ on Tuesday night.

Don't think you were wrong about O/9, but we are actually weaker in mid-field than we once thought, and he is a dynamic player and would bring dramatic improvement in that department , the news is not good tho' and Connor is now on the injured list which leaves us threadbare at the back so it looks like O/9 will continue there in the near future in any case.

If Maclaughlin and Sanderson are both out for a few games we need O'Nien back in at CB I think.

It certainly looks that way, two massive blows to our chances of making progress, its like we are cursed atm. Luckily we have O/9, he is an absolute gem.

What we need is hang on in there ,if its the play offs then the play offs it is, get players fit for the last couple of games if possible. a following wind and a boat load of luck will come in handy.
