    Friday 16th April 8pm
    Premier League
    Goodison Park

Another week, another crappy 2nd half capitulation.
Time to face another ex-Chelsea manager who started the season well, but has dropped off a fair bit.
We're currently above them in the table and have better goal difference, but they've got a game in hand.
Winning this would allow them to leapfrog us and make a push for a European place.
Can Mourinho get revenge for the opening day or will Ancelotti do the double over his old mate?

The Italian took over the Toffees just before Christmas last season, following Marco Silva's poor performance.
He dragged them away from the relegation zone and pushed for the top half of the table, but just missed out.
This campaign held higher hopes for the blue side of Liverpool and they started well.
Signing James Rodriguez, Doucoure, Allan and Ben Godfrey strengthened them throughout the side.
They lead the table after four games, having picked up maximum points.

Any talks of a title win ended after their following run of seven games, which they only won one of.
Erratic form has been the order of the day, though they're clearly a better side than they were under Silva.
Winning at Anfield was a highlight for them, but they also lost at home to Newcastle and Fulham.
Injuries have certainly contributed to this. They were missing a number of key players against Brighton.
It appears that they've all returned for this one though, unfortunately.

This tie was a rather controversial one last time out.
A fairly boring start saw both sides call for penalties either side of Alli's opener.
A mistake by Iwobi gave up possession in a dangerous position and he took full advantage of the error.
The incident that decided the match came after the break, as Son's foul on Gomes saw them both off.
Their man was injured badly and ours was dismissed, leaving Tosun to take advantage deep in injury time:

The reverse fixture came at the start of the season, resulting in a rare home game on the first day for us.
We looked like we were nowhere near up to speed and the visitors took full advantage.
There was some controversy (there's that word again) over their winning goal, though.
A dubious free-kick was moved forward by miles, which lead to a furious Mourinho waving madly at the ref.
The same official had made a big deal over a similar one for us in the first half, so he was doubly mad:

No press conference yet, so I'm going by old reports, but it seems that Doherty and Davies are still out.
Gbamin, Bernard, Mina, Delph and Doucoure are out for the hosts, but they should have several back.
Allan, Gomes, Calvert-Lewin, King and Pickford are due back. Neither side has any suspensions.

Lineups for each side's last league game:

Spurs: Lloris; Aurier, Dier, Rodon, Reguilon; Lo Celso, Hojbjerg, Ndombele; Moura, Kane, Son.
Subs: Hart, Alderweireld, Tanganga, Winks, Sissoko, Bale, Lamela, Alli, Vinicius.
    League form: WWLWDL.

Everton: Olsen; Coleman, Godfrey, Mina, Keane, Digne; Davies, Holgate, Sigurdsson; Rodriguez, Richarlison.
Subs: Virginia, Tyrer, John, Welch, Price, Nkounkou, Iwobi, Broadhead.
    League form: WWLLDD.

Ref: Michael ****ing Oliver. VAR: Andre Marriner.

    TV: Sky Sports.

How would you like to line up for this one and what would you change from the Man Utd game?
Would you stick with much of the same lineup, make a few changes or go for a wholesale switch?
Which system and tactics would you use and what are you expecting Everton to go with?

Who knows who might be starting in defence this week !. I presume any
combination of defenders who has not had a game recently. <whistle>

Nevertheless... I assume Everton will be taking the piss out of us by the
    63rd min. <steam>

Just a quick reminder to everyone that THIS GAME IS ON FRIDAY.
I'm thinking of putting the day and time as part of the thread titles. Yes, no or other suggestions?

He looks like he's still getting over whatever injury it was that he had. I suspect he's been rushed back because we've got nobody else.

I believe we ought to be responsible ourselves for remembering - you already have the date/time in the posts themselves so no need to clutter up the thread title.

Dunno, think Ben would be better suited against Everton than Reggie.

Davies is better defensively but offers a lot less going forward

It’s Everton and with all due respect, should be trying to outplay them rather than focus on defending
