Who was that knacker journalist last year, sure he had a Spanish name but an Irish surname? Was begging PIF to buy Man Utd but turned all moral when it was Newcastle

I think it's all pretty embarrassing already.

Luke Edwards being a bell-end, others mis-construing everything. What a ****ing mess. And all because you give jobs for the boys to tossers like Masters and Hoffman.

    It's really, really poor.

I found Edwards particularly pathetic this time. "Good luck proving separation", he chided. What, because the Crown Prince of KSA wants what's best for the countries investment fund? Because he's using his status to try and influence a decision? Yeah, because the UK have never sent ****ing William on a goodwill mission anywhere.

The PL have this woefully misguided sense of self-importance. PL clubs, even the very largest, have turnovers less than a decent sized private company. Man U's turnover is around £500m or so, with every other club posting significantly less than that. Bird & Bird, a large solicitors, does around £400m a year. Nobody is investigating their activity, they are well under the radar of what matters.

This is where the waters get really muddy for me - KSA have struck deals everywhere, with no resistance regardless of their policies. They've bought shares in cruise ship companies, financial firms, consulting companies and even Uber and Disney. As have Qatar, Kuwait and other oil states. Russia/China do what they want in spite of their political views and ethical history. Nobody cares, because everybody down to the poorest individual needs money, it makes the capitalist world go round. Yet for some reason, the Premier League has chosen to flex its' puny muscles and block a Saudi-led takeover of Newcastle United. There are clear question marks about the appointment of Gary Hoffman (chosen by Liverpool, Spurs and Man U specifically), the influence of BeIN (who admitted they meddled) and the further reach of Qatar in this (with the State-owned Man City apparently being 'ok'). Other clubs have all but admitted to being 'against' the move. The PL have now been shown to have deliberately obfuscated the entire process, reducing Saudi investment to a nursery rhyme term. They have been shown to repeatedly lie (Masters claimed the entire process was absolutely confidential.....except he shared communication with clubs, BeIN/Qatar and at least 3 UK Gov departments). And for what reason, to what end? The piracy claim is pathetic and weak - particularly as they could well take up their piracy argument with the Saudi State, and discover that none of their complaints could or would be directed to the PIF. So separation exists. It hasn't stopped Thai investment in Leicester, it hasn't stopped Chinese investment in Wolves or Villa, but it has in Newcastle - why is that?

You can see from the moves towards a Super League that there is panic amongst the bigger clubs - particularly in the PL. West Ham's efforts are fantastic to see, Leicester sustaining their place too - there would be no such panic if the top 6 were who they're "meant" to be. It's very choppy waters out there. Heads are going to roll one way or another.

The BoJo thing is a load of crap an'all. He came out in support of the NUST last Summer and agreed there needed to be answers. That's all he's done, it's all already in the public domain.

The MBS thing may or may not exist - certainly, contrary to what the ****ing knobhead Edwards says, the arbitration isn't going to hinge on a Daily Mail article.

So are we lead to believe that the reasons the take over failed were not valid reasons and it was down to influence from other clubs as Stavely said last year,if that's the case where do Newcastle go from here?

They keep pushing on arbitration - the PL will now be having to ask themselves how far do they want to try and push it. This could go full legal beyond arbitration if they keep playing silly buggers. I don't think a lawyer in the land would advise them of that course of action.
