This is quite interesting, I would always have thought that tuition is what you get taught from the tutor/teacher. Apparently in the USA, tuition can mean the actual fee. Crazy yanks.

Yanks are odd anyway. In English tuition is what you receive and you pay a tuition fee. In American you pay your tuition rather than for your tuition.
