I've just thrown some money into a stocks and shares ISA after looking into Cryptocurrency.......which I'm also gonna have a little dabble in......I've read quite a bit and spent hours on You tube getting my head around it.....after my brother in law (who for years has makes a really good living out of shares, futures trading and now Crypto) tells me this last year has been his best ever.....because of Crypto.......
It's very roller coaster, so not a good idea to throw too much into it...... and worth getting a hardware wallet as so many hackers out there!!

Crypto historically runs in 4 year cycles and this that 4th year of the latest cycle, apparently called a bull run, the coin I have invested in is expected to be the next big thing, but buy in prices have become high, my investment is yo yoing between 50% to 100% growth in a very short period of time, but is expected to rocket between now and September 2022, the lead investor in my syndicate has put in 16k and fully expects to come out of it with a million or more. Of course time will tell, you are right just like betting only invest what you can afford to lose.

Do you have to actively manage a crypto account? I've been thinking about this a lot lately, but not at all sure how it works.

Sort of the same as going into Stocks & shares....really worth an hour or so on you tube or read up on it to get an idea how it works..
Just need to be very security conscious and treat it a bit like an outside bet..........i.e don't throw all your savings at it :emoticon-0105-wink:

Well unless you have somebody who knows and understands it then yes you will have to manage it yourself and I am fairly tech savvy but I could not have set it up solo, luckily I have somebody who has set it up for about 30 of us and keeps us up to date and interprets exactly what is happening.

It is on your mobile and you will need up to 3 apps, they are difficult to set up and transfer between.

My coin has increased by over 25% overnight and still rising, should double my investment later this evening. The speculation is it should rocket anytime soon, despite Bitcoin trying it's best to disrupt the market, happy days.

After a bit of a crash over all markets after Saint Joe Biden's huge tax hikes last week, markets have picked up and overnight my investment increased by almost 50%. It is now worth over 150% more than I invested and still rising.

I am aware the ride is still a rocky one with highs and lows, but it appears that the 4 yearly 'bullrun' may have started, with my coin having reached a level of 1 cent which it cannot now fall below (so I am told) it has a very long way to go to reach the dizzy heights of Bitcoin, but it's certainly a great start.

    # FAO @oneforthebristolcity if you are going to invest, ensure that if you do buy a crypto secure key, make sure you buy it from a trusted source, do not buy from the likes of Amazon, if you are interested PM me and I will send you the place that I sourced mine from.

Still rising, expecting a fall to test it's position, my investment at this moment is worth 200% more.
