Fair enough. Most clubs have a history of cocking up at the death, but City seem to be the masters, but I guess City are the club closest to my heart.
The club does however have a habit of doing things the hard way, Premier League survival in our first season should have been secured much earlier after the start we had. We should have been automatically promoted twice under Bruce, but fell into the play offs and did it the hard way. The Great Escape, FA Cup Semi, first promotion under Bruce, League 2 promotion all done with hearts in mouths at times. Hopefully as with all of those, it'll work out in the end, but we're def not used to the easy life.
When did I say that wasn't (in the end) enjoyable? I'm just saying there could be bumps in the road yet.
Oh dear it’s all going tits up in the north east.. What do they say, keep it in house ??? But they have games in hand and if ???? You shouldn’t laugh I know but it’s just Too easy.... Boss slams Sunderland players after damaging defeat in title bid hands Hull City major advantage The Tigers' hopes of automatic promotion were handed a massive boost on Tuesday night when one of their closest challengers were beaten
If there's an outfit who are showing signs of fecking it up,that would be Sunderland? We're not over the line yet but our current form of 26 points from the last possible 30 would indicate that we're not feeling pressure or on the verge of blowing up(if we are,the players are doing a hell of a job hiding it). The players have adopted a one game at a time mindset and that's the way it should be...All we can do as supporters is follow the same approach.A win this Saturday will heap more pressure on our challengers and although Fleetwood have been in fairly decent form recently we have the players to get things done. The team spirit and tenacity looks excellent going into these last 5 games...UTT!!
Their last 2 games have been fairly damaging? I can fully understand their fans frustration and anger because there wouldn't be many posting on here, myself included, who could have predicted those last 2 results! I wouldn't laugh at their plight or gloat but I'm not disappointed it's happened.
We will put Fleetwood to the sword on Saturday. We are confident and playing well and as the table shows top of the league.
Battys a good player, but he has a habit of passing to the opposition, lets hope that continues come Satdee
Watched Lee Johnson, post match interview from Saturdays game with Charlton ,it was a classic lesson in how not to motivate your player's he threw several under the bus and blamed everyone but himself, at the time, my thoughts we're that little rant is going come back to bite you on the arse.
According to poster's on the Sunderland board's, there's a lot of there squad out of contract , come the end of season.
I admit to fist-pumping the air when I saw the result last night, but in reality my arsehole is still quivering with nerves at the thought we might blow a major advantage. On current form there's a chance we might beat Fleetwood and Sunderland fail to win at Blackpool, but this being League One an almost equally-good one that we'll be beaten and Sunderland will thump three or four past their opponents at the weekend. In fact, I think the latter more likely...
