I cannot agree on it going well. Sunderland are out of our reach, Ipswich are behind us. Three teams in front of us all got points, and have better goal differences.
Yeah the Lincoln result hasn't helped us although we still have to play them of course, so a win then would see us within touching distance. Maybe Portsmouth are our best shot now. 3 points behind with a game in hand but a poorer goal difference. Should be an exciting last few weeks.
Having to play Hull, Peterborough and Lincoln will ultimately work against us. Oh yeah, Ipswich will not be easy either.
Think your sneak in cant see posh or hull getting anything of yourselfs . Hoping our home form keeps going .
boo boy dahn ah grahnd you’re probably right Elfs, but it’s nice we’re having this debate, all things considered. After the last 12 months, 18 months, 7 years, 15 years or whenever you want to reference it, we’ve all become a bit wiser. maybe not, definitely older though
Lincoln have a very tough run-in like us and Blackpool will drop more points. If we keep winning we'll make it. Think the Lincoln result was the only one that really hurt us tonight. Could have been a lot worse.
It's more open now. Before tonight we were hoping to pip Lincoln for 6th place, but now 4th- 7th are much closer.
It's mad how crap this league is, the gap between league 1 and championship is so much bigger than it was when Norwich & Southampton got back to back promotions around 2012ish
Too many over-spenders in the Championship now distorting the league. Too much parachute money being splurged, and players on fat undeserved wages. Prem culture has corrupted it.
My major concern on our run in is that being tough, it will take it's toll. No one is going to win every game, and we all know that at the end of the season, you get some funny old results (who'd have predicted Sunderland losing at Wigan two weeks ago!!) Doncaster have imploded and seem to have become an easy three points for anyone, who knows if Portsmouth will do the same. A couple of weeks ago, the games in hand of everyone around us suggested we would be all but matheatically out of the race by now, but we are still in there, and the new manager has finally got us playing a bit of football rather than that dredful stuff we were served in the tail end of the Bowyer reign. If we get into the play offs, it's a one in four shot at promotion. No guarantees, no over excitement, but the chance is there. After much of this season, I'm happy with that,
Wigan Athletic. How the mighty have fallen. Pleeeeease let's get Sunderland in the Play-off Finals. We'll be effectively a couple of goals up before the game kicks off, and no Nabster in the mix
