He’s certainly not looked any worse either. How many goals has McFadzean singlehandedly been at fault for? I can name one just over a week ago.

As long as we are back in August though that’s all that matters. I want to be watching football and be entertained too. Imagine if this team did get promoted. Would need to spend 60 million just to have a chance of staying up. Our football been ****e under Johnson, I will go for a continental manager like Barnsley have.

If you wanna see championship football within the next 5 years that’s what needs to happen. This squad is awful. Worst in our history by a considerable distance.

Spin it how you want but all I’m saying is Mcfadzean, 09, Sanderson, power = 14 unbeaten. Hume comes in = defeat, Wright comes in = another defeat. The defence looked unsettled tonight, you can’t argue with that.

Cant believe people are calling out Johnson already! I get we are all frustrated at the performance but come on.

Tonight was about players being off their level, more than it was about Johnson getting his tactics wrong or subs wrong. In my opinion 3 of the starting 11 played to the level they are capable of. If we have 8 playing at the level we win the game in my opinion with that starting 11. We were also dealt a rough hand having to play Wright as that meant 50% of the back 4 is short of match practice. I cant believe Johnson is teaching them to fail to do the simple things when defending set plays either, that is about player commitment and desire in my opinion.

Whatever happens in the next 6 games we are on an upward curve as a club. Where were 6 months ago was far far worse, on and off the pitch. Bit of perspective needed.

I don’t have to spin anything. Wright was a forced change, he wasn’t even in the original starting line up.

have you watched McFadzean play this season at all?

That's the problem for me. What he hell is the team.
LJ has to take responsibility. He created a team then kept changing it.

These players aren't good enough to fit into a different set up every week.
Same in any walk of life. Practice and repetition make perfect
The players don't know whether they are coming or going.

How the hell can they build up partnerships and understanding
We haven't had the same midfield or forward line or fullbacks and wingers for two games running lately.

If we were Man City, fine but we are not we have limited players who need
to practice and practice and practice playing together in a formation that suits their ability

Some weeks it feels like he just puts the names in a bags by position and pulls them out to see who plays that week.
Apologies for the negative rant. And I do think LJ will get it right but at the sharp end of the season for me he's cocked up big time.

I've been really optimistic about our chances for weeks Vince, but even I can't see us winning 5 and drawing the other, which is probably the minimum we need to have a chance of automatic promotion. It's a pisser!

That was the back 4 against Charlton wasn’t it?Hume was on the bench on Saturday. Wright only started today because McLaughlin was injured in the warm up. Regardless the defence has looked poor of late, I agree

He wouldn’t have lasted the first 30 mins the pace it was played at.

Absolutely agree we are on the long term upward curve and I think LJ will get it right
but I think he has to take some responsibility for the form over the last few weeks.
We needed a bit of stability For me his tinkering has gone a bit too far.
His ideas are great but he's not giving the players a chance to get used to them or each other.
The players aren't as good as he thinks they are.
Fore me we need a settled midfield three and build around that.

Every single game mate and like I’ve said already I agree he’s limited in ability but part of a side that was unbeaten in 14. As for wright, he didn’t have to be put in there, but was and looked unfit and not up to it.

I assumed Diamond was going to play out right along with Jones and Denver as lwb behind Geads.

Agreed, personally I would have had O’Nien and Sanderson CB, Hume LB and Power RB. He was a million miles off the pace. If McLaughlin hadn’t been injured I’d have had the same with Power in CM. I think Power perhaps needs dropping, he looks tired.

Fair enough mate, great post. I would also like a settled midfield 3. He does change it up but I think it is always with a clear intention. Maybe we will now see more of a settled team emerge, who knows.

Tonight I just thought the players have to accept they were poor. Too many failed to do their job. Johnson cant do much if players are going to let someone have 3 yards space from a corner or spot danger on the edge of the box and do nothing. It is the basics that are costing us goals and players should really be able to do the basics.
