I admire Ralph's tactical genius tonight Knowing full well Brendan Rogers would be watching, puts out a strong team that played ****. A saints victory would have the Leicester team out on extra training. Losing with a weakened team would have the Leicester team out on extra training knowing we have rested players. A strong team playing that badly will have the Leicester team down the beer garden, spending time topping up their fake tans and sitting in their bedrooms playing minecraft for the rest of the week. We then smash em Sunday. Nice one Ralph.
Plus the 100% already a given for Sunday means I wouldn't fancy being Leicester fan come the end of the match! We just all need to keep calm and shrug the shoulder, it's life, things happen etc. As you rightly point out, no injuries let's be grateful for that come Sunday.
I'm torn. It's a very tempting change, and all things being equal I would want to see it too. But it would mean Redmond moving back into midfield, and he seems so much better through the middle this season. So I might go with the same XI - as weird as that might sound, after tonight.
I do remember after we beat Brighton that JWP was the designated penalty taker but didn't feel confident enough to take the one that Ings scored. Sorry Prowsie, it's got to be Ings now.
Wow just what you want to come back to after getting back from work late. Bloody hell Saints. I really thought that we would be over performances and results like that now that we are over our injury crisis AND have time to prepare between games again AND off of the back of a couple of good results. Worrying. They've had enough excuses over this horrendous run of results so they aren't getting any for that. What did Ralph have to say post match?
So West Brom looked good today. Up for it, positive football and played nicely without the hoofball you might expect. They managed to find numerous ways to pull us out of shape and I was starting to get curious as to what was going on so I slowed it down and zoomed in. So it turns out there were jelly beans sprinkled along the halfway line and out around the leftback position meaning that JWP and Diallo kept bending down to pick them up completely ignoring the space between halfway and our CB's. Bertrand interestingly only likes green ones so he was spending a lot of time hunting for them in the green grass obviously and I'm not sure anyone told him the game was over, he was still out there when the team bus left.
In all seriousness I don’t think we will get relegated , it must be difficult if you have one eye on the cup to not try and get injured . Anyway Imola this weekend
