If they can't deduce from replays that was onside then VAR has to go. That's just abysmal from Kevin Friend the VAR.
VAR needs to be taken out of the hands of referees. They just make the same cack decisions even when they have the tools to fix them.
It wasn't conclusive at all. No clearly onside about it, otherwise there wouldn't be the debate. If it was as clear as they're saying, the goal would have stood. These commentators need to shut the **** up about it. Honestly. BTW the nuppet comment wasn't aimed at you, it was aimed at the commentators on Sky.
From what they're saying, the problem is that offside decisions require the silly lines, because lines are more precise than the human eye. But when the lines don't work (because there is a person in the way), but the human eye clearly shows the result, you just have to shrug and give up. Logic!
Just feels like we have the wrong set up today, we are pushing too high and leaving gaps absolutely everywhere.
Diagne was about half a yard behind Vestergaard's boot. They used Bartley's shoulder/arm for the line. You can clearly see Diagne was onside. You would be spitting feathers if it was the other way round.
We are slow ponderous in the final third. Always looking for a clever pass and trying to walk it in. I'd rather they run at the defence. We lose the ball anyway, I understand RH prefers possession football but if the net result is the same?
You can't overturn an inconclusive decision. If the goal was given by the ref it would have stood after review.
My gut feeling is it was onside. That's not in question for me. It's the commentators saying it was "clearly onside" and going on about it like some huge injustice. That's utter bollocks. It was tight, and it could have gone either way. If it was "clearly onside" like they say, it would have have given. It was incredibly tight, and luckily it went for us on this occasion.
I just wish referees would use their common sense rather than just rely on the technology. No one would have complained if the goal had been awarded.
We've looked like a team that don't want to get injured and miss Wembley to me. WBA have been very good though too.
