We just have the look of a team on the verge of a dip. It's been 5 years since we ended a season strongly, I hope I'm wrong

Hopefully Hume starts. Pretty clear from these comments from Adkins teams know McFadzean is our weak link

"We thought maybe we could expose them a little bit in their left-back positions from throw-ins and we scored from that."

I expect the cuddlies to win and win comfortably. 1-4. Wyke to get back to scoring,McGeady free kick, Gucchi and O9 (bouncing in off his left buttock)

Johnson has to decide on his best 11 and stick to it for the final 7 games. I don't think this constant tinkering is doing anyone any favours

Get Wright back in the team and stick the following (which I believe to be our bext XI)

    Burge
    McLaughlin Sanderson Wright Hume
    Power O'Nien Winchester
    Jones Wyke McGeady
Trying to find a way to get O'Brien in the team as I think Wyke plays better with him next to him, but I'd be nervous playing a midfield 2 containing O'Nien

I think that's our best 11. Onien would be a canny number 10 playing behind Wyke imo

You can't be playing the same 11 for every game imo, too much fatigue will creep in increasing the chances of injury. Pretty much every team rotates it's players and I can't see why we would be any different.

Wright was rumoured to be getting some minutes today for the 23's so cannot see him involved in any way on Tuesday aswell

7 games left. 7 Cup finals. I don't think it's too big an ask to play the same team in those games.
What I don't want to see is needless tinkering for the sake of it

How do you know it's needless tinkering? Not like you have access to the medical side of things to see where a player is fitness wise. And it could well be too big an ask to expect the same players to be at 100% for every game, especially when we're going to be playing 2 games a week. Not sure any team will be playing the same starting 11 between now and the end of the season tbh.

Johnson has stated that he picks the team and the formation based on what he thinks is required for the opposition. That decision will be based on detailed scouting reports. That's not tinkering, its modern football management. The idea of a "best 11" is archaic in modern football.
