Cracking round from Rose, esp with the rest of the field struggling... and many big players off the pace. He was great odds at 100/1.

Poor Westwood. Absolute stinker after playing so well of late. Missed his first two putts for birdie and his arse went. From 45/1 to 750/1.

Wonderful back 9 from Rose, it was a joy to watch. The conditions favoured the late starters and if that happens for the 2nd round, I think we will see some of the big names turn it around (hope not).

Good job Fleetwoods ace slam dunked the hole...that was travelling :emoticon-0148-yes:

First point, well done Rose, let's hope he can do it for the next 3 rounds. He has come close to winning the Masters a couple of times.

Second point the speed of the greens is ridiculous... all to Dechambeau(sp) the course.

Third point, I have mixed emotions about Augusta. If the course was a woman, she would have had lots of 'work' done. Breast implants, trout pout sunbed, wigs and hair pieces etc. Loads of make--up and expensive dresses and shoes. She would undoubtedly be attractive.
Another woman say a 400m athlete, very little make-up, beautiful wearing shorts and a tee shirt.

Personally I would prefer the 2nd natural look. Course's like Goswick, a windswept links compared to a dyed pond, grass cut with scissors flowers planted a few days before all for image, Augusta.

    Rant over..

But you must admit that it'd be nice to have the fully worked option at least once :emoticon-0105-wink:

Here we go for hopefully one of the most dramatic evenings of sport.

Course lovely and quick. Wind picking up. Nerves for the frontrunner. Be lovely if no more than 2 in it going to amen corner.

Been really impressed with the young Zalatoris so far. Hoping Justin can bring it home but he needs to attack.

Lovely glass of red poured. Few little snacks. Tonight, I hope will be spectacular viewing.

I know some will say golf is boring but Sunday at Augusta is magic. Anything can happen. Bunkers, water, crazy greens, wayward drives and all sorts.

Some of these overhead drone shots are stunning. What a course, I'd love to play it and take a few branches off the trees. There would be nowt left! I'd need about 3 dozen balls! <laugh><laugh>

Think I saw earlier that Matsuyama will only be the third Japanese winner of a major and maybe the first or second Japanese man to do it. Fair play to him, he's been excellent and has dealt with the pressure.
