Brexit has made it impossible for English people but we're glad to be coming home anyway, especially now the club is back on it's feet.

Sounds good mate. Lovely neck of the woods and easier for getting to see family & matches... dedpite the weather. I've been back a while now, just need to tie up a few loose ends overseas then settle down here for 'good' this summer ie next 10 years.

A few posters disagreed we me last week, but it’s no coincidence our first loss in however many games has come straight after the press reporting we have 60m to spend in the summer. It literally couldn’t have come at a worse time.

must admit I wouldn’t like that hanging over me if I was a player whoever said or wrote it, let’s see what happens over the next few matches we will get a better picture then.

Tough 10 days coming up and the players now have to dig deep, manager has done a cracking job to get us in this position I’m sure he will have them fired up for Tuesday.

Yesterday's loss was down to three main factors, Wykes loss of his scoring touch, coupled with some good goalkeeping and some poor defending.

    Very true.
He was a player who only played league football in England because of his father.
He never played 1 league game in England under contract with any manager other than Gary Johnson.
He played 4 games for Derby on loan and more had a 3 month loan at Chesterfield (where he was dropped) but his contract was always held at Ashton Gate.
Interestingly he was given a 2 year extension to his contract weeks before his father was sacked. TBF, I think he played twice for us in the 2 years after.
Some City fans could live with nepotism, many others didn't and LJ has been and still is providing a massive schism at Ashton Gate.
You need to get promoted this season as the longer your dressing room hears him the sooner results will falter.
If you achieve promotion your owner needs to be extremely careful.
LJ as manager made 65 signings in 4 years at City, we are left with a squad as bad as we had in L1.
You've probably gathered by now that I'm not the greatest fan of nepotism.

Ps -Again tbf he played a dozen or so games for Kilmarnock where he came on as sub and Kilmarnock won the Scottish Cup. He was not offered a further contract and retired aged 31.

Agree. Not606 used to be friendly with reasoned argument while RTG got on with the vitriol. Now there is no difference between the two.

We should have had a word with the other clubs to see if we could jump from 4th straight to 2nd. FFS.

Some people's posts quadruple after any setback, I'm just glad I'm not like them tbh mate.

I'm in a great mood today, nothing will change that.

Has LJ given an explanation on Maguire’s disappearance btw?? We could have done with him yesterday at 2-1 down, but instead bring Conor McLaughlin on ffs

Siht happens...its how the team deals with it, in the next game that matters.. :emoticon-0107-sweat

Not to say a draw and a loss in the vital last few games has not left me aghast.

It was Wykes goals that propelled us up the league...he just cannot dry up now surely!

Why? You telling me you remain miserable all week just because we lost a game of football? Actually scratch that, you remain miserable even when we've won.

Just find it odd on a Sunderland forum, that someone would say they are in a fantastic mood after we’ve just been beaten in one of the most important games in our history. Each to their own I suppose.
